Chapter 24: The Angel Descends

"He actually shot him!" "Who exactly is he?!" "He must have a powerful background!" Seeing someone actually die, the officials were completely dumbfounded. Samael, however, remained calm. "Does anyone still think I'm just bluffing? If you do, feel free to say so. If I eliminate all those with contrary thoughts, you'll understand that I don't tolerate dissent." "My temper is a bit bad." Samael looked like a demon straight out of hell. The officials in San Francisco were stunned. "We have no objections!" "We know we were wrong! We know we were wrong!" "Please don't harm us!" Meanwhile. San Francisco's underworld boss, Giselle, was enjoying himself at a brothel. He had just completed a business deal and was carrying several gold items as trophies. To celebrate, he planned to indulge himself at the establishment tonight. The women around Giselle kept gyrating their hips. Giselle, squinting, eyed a blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman. "You, follow me into a private room." Then, as if one wasn't enough, he picked several more women. Unexpectedly, as he led the women into the private room, someone crashed through the window. It was Mastema. Known for his reticence, Mastema's signature weapon was a massive cannon. Seeing him, Giselle was stunned. "Who are you?!" Thinking it was a mistake by his subordinates, Giselle tried to have the intruder thrown out, but Mastema quickly demonstrated his power. He aimed the cannon at Giselle! Giselle was terrified. "I've heard you're a pragmatic person. So, I'm here to ask you: do you want to live or die?" Mastema's voice was calm. "I-I want to live, of course!" Giselle was sweating profusely. He thought he was about to die. But to his surprise, Mastema didn't kill him immediately. Instead, Mastema reached out and took the gold items from Giselle. "Anyone who still thinks about money in such a situation usually doesn't live to see tomorrow. But you chose to live, so remember, never be greedy again." Giselle was confused by the statement. Then, Mastema continued. "Our leader, Joseph of the Reaper organization, has arrived in San Francisco. Do you accept his control? If not, you'll die now." Wait. The Reaper organization? This person was from the Reaper organization? No wonder he was so terrifying! "I-I accept Lord Joseph's control!" Giselle immediately knelt. He had heard of Joseph's reputation—a man who could fly into the sky by sheer will, as if stepping on air. Such power was the stuff of legends! The Bible said only an angel could do such things! Maybe, Joseph was truly an angel! Because of this, everyone in the underworld knew the Reaper organization was no joke! Seeing Giselle's compliance, Mastema nodded in satisfaction. "Good. The Reaper organization welcomes all strong individuals. Only the strong have the right to serve Lord Joseph." Mastema then turned and left. His purpose was to warn Giselle and establish Joseph's authority in San Francisco. This way, people would know who the real boss of San Francisco was. As he left, Mastema left a message for Giselle. "Under the control of the Reaper organization, no force can defy us. Lord Joseph will stay in San Francisco for a few days. Don't cause trouble. Tell your men to lay low." "And remember, don't tell anyone about this. Or else... you know." After Mastema left, the women surrounded Giselle. "That man was so handsome! I love him!" "I wonder if he's married..." "I've decided to marry him..." The women seemed to have lost their minds. Giselle felt annoyed. "Get lost! If you like him, go find him! Don't waste my time! I have things to do!" He planned to find out why the Reaper organization was in San Francisco. Was San Francisco about to undergo a major change? Meanwhile, the San Francisco FBI was ready. But they weren't preparing to fight the Reaper organization. Instead, they were ready to greet them respectfully and surrender. As Abaddon arrived at the FBI headquarters, he saw a banner outside. "Welcome, Reaper Organization Members!" Well, that was proactive enough! Abaddon nodded in satisfaction. "I understand your intentions. Don't worry. As long as you comply, the Reaper organization won't harm the innocent." "Since you know of my arrival, you shouldn't plan any resistance. Perhaps someone has told you our purpose? Today's matter must remain confidential, understood?" "If I find out you informed others, I will deal with you harshly!" The FBI agents exchanged glances. "Understood!" Abaddon nodded and calmly left. Unlike them, Azazel, who went to the defense force, might have faced danger. But as soon as they saw him, everyone lit up with recognition. "Hello! Long time no see, Angel!" Years ago, Azazel had gone to the front lines and saved many people, including members of San Francisco's defense force. They had always regarded Azazel as an angel. Seeing him again, they knelt and began to pray!
