Chapter 212: Speak or Die
Kajelina was extremely worried at this moment. She didn’t know if Joseph could handle the horde of men surrounding him. Although Joseph looked formidable, the sheer number of terrifying opponents made her doubt if even someone as skilled as him could prevail.
As they were trying to process the situation, Joseph remained calm and continued to issue his threat.
"Tell me who sent you, and I’ll let you go. If not, then be prepared to face the consequences."
As soon as he finished speaking, one of the men in front of him couldn’t hold back any longer. He quickly swung his fist at Joseph, aiming to knock him down and show everyone how powerful they were.
But in the next moment, there was a loud "bang!" The man was sent flying with a kick from Joseph, and another man was already on his knees, clutching Joseph’s leg, crying and begging for mercy.
Joseph glanced at him with a cold smirk.
"Do you want to live or die? Make your choice."
The sobbing man trembled, too terrified to speak another word, immediately choosing to live. Joseph, unimpressed, kicked him aside.
Meanwhile, the first man who had rushed at Joseph was lying on the ground, unable to get up. The others watching were wide-eyed with shock.
This… this was the power of the man before them?
"Is he really that strong?" Kajelina asked with a slight frown, her concern mirrored by everyone else in the office. But just then, the man who had been down on the ground struggled to stand up, gritting his teeth.
"Brothers! Don’t hold back! This guy isn’t easy to deal with!"
Hearing this, the group grew angry, with one of them cursing, "Damn it! We’re on the verge of death, and you’re still talking crap?!"
If they could take him down, would they really be holding back? They would have attacked Joseph long ago!
Joseph furrowed his brow slightly.
"There’s no time. Come at me all at once."
With that, Joseph disappeared from where he was standing.
"What the hell! Where did he go?"
"He vanished!"
Joseph’s speed was incredible. In just the blink of an eye, he reappeared behind one of the men, raising the blade he held. Before anyone could react, they screamed and ran in panic.
Joseph’s blade was sharp and lethal. The metallic sound of weapons clashing filled the air as Joseph’s movements left everyone too terrified to continue fighting.
Joseph, seeing their fear, couldn’t help but frown.
These guys were pathetic.
He turned and walked toward the man he had knocked down earlier, effortlessly taking the knife from his hand.
"Hey."
He spoke softly, and the man was frozen in place, too stunned to move. Seeing this, Joseph sighed.
"I really don’t want to bully weaklings like you, but all I need are answers. Give me those, and you can leave here alive. But if you insist on standing in my way, I won’t hesitate to kill every last one of you."
As soon as he finished speaking, there was a sharp "slash!" Joseph’s blade sliced through the air, and a bright flash of light shot toward a nearby object.
A ripping sound followed as the light tore through the air, revealing a black sphere within. The black sphere was covered in intricate, ominous patterns that sent chills down everyone’s spines.
Kajelina and the others stared in shock at the black sphere that had been tossed out.
This… this was terrifying!
If that thing hit them, they would surely be doomed.
Joseph, still calm, looked at the sphere but wasn’t particularly concerned.
"This is a black hole explosive, developed by our organization. You should be able to see how dangerous it is. So… have you prepared your answers?"
His voice was calm, but Kajelina could barely keep herself from trembling.
When had they ever seen anything like this? These people were terrifying!
At that moment, the leader of the attackers suddenly spoke coldly.
"The only answer you’re getting is this: get lost! Or I’ll take you down with me!"
As he finished, everyone glanced at the black sphere beside him, collectively holding their breath.
This thing was no joke!
Joseph chuckled coldly at the man’s threat.
"Fine. If you’re choosing death, I won’t stop you."
With that, Joseph raised his hand. To everyone’s shock, he pulled out a large, red projectile, something resembling a bomb. The sight of it sent waves of fear through the group.
"What are you doing? What is that?!" someone shouted.
But Joseph ignored them and hurled the red projectile at them. The bomb sped toward them with alarming speed.
Realizing that Joseph wasn’t bluffing, the men frantically picked up their weapons, ready to fight to the death.
"Get him! He’s just one man!"
"Don’t be afraid!"
"All together! He’s done for!"
As they shouted, Joseph couldn’t help but smile.
Idiots.
He wasn’t alone.
As the men raised their weapons, countless shadows suddenly appeared, and the next second, those shadows crashed into the group.
"Who told you I was alone?" Joseph remarked with a grin. He still had Abaddon and the others by his side.
No sooner had he spoken than Abaddon and his team emerged from the shadows, easily taking down the attackers.
In no time, Joseph’s men had surrounded everyone, their presence alone enough to instill fear in anyone who dared oppose them.
