Chapter 211: Rescuing from Fire and Water
Abaddon watched Beelzebub’s actions from the warship with great excitement. They had long considered these people as their prey! After taking down everyone, they returned to the warship.
"Let's go!"
"Alright!"
The warship left the area and headed toward their next destination. Joseph knew that Lagrenor's mother and her people would be furious, but that was of no concern to him. He had other matters to attend to. Since they were back in foreign territory, he had to head to the transit station to help solve the security issues for Weizhong Group.
After sailing for a while, they reached the transit station. While they were still en route, Joseph received a call. It was from a familiar voice.
"Sonka, what’s wrong?"
"Mr. Joseph, something terrible has happened!" Sonka’s voice was shaky, but Joseph understood. Apparently, today, the branch of Weizhong Group at the transit station had been targeted by several assailants. Several security guards had already been killed.
Hearing this, Joseph immediately ordered his men to speed up. "We need to get to Weizhong Group right away."
"Understood!"
Soon, the group arrived together. Joseph saw numerous men in black smashing the windows of the Weizhong Group building with their weapons. Fortunately, the building's iron doors kept them from entering. Otherwise, the employees of Weizhong Group would have been slaughtered!
Inside the group’s branch office, Sonka’s daughter, Kajelina, was frantic. With her father away, she had to bear this responsibility alone. If the place was destroyed, her father would be furious when he returned. But Kajelina was just a young girl, fresh out of college, with no experience in handling such a crisis. Watching the men outside prepare to throw Molotov cocktails, she was utterly lost.
"They’re going to burn down the building! What should I do?" Kajelina cried in desperation.
Just then, her phone rang. It was her father, Sonka.
"Dad!" Kajelina cried out, her voice trembling. "I think I’m going to die! They’re starting to use Molotov cocktails!"
Hearing this, Sonka was panicked but tried to remain calm. "Don’t panic. Mr. Joseph is on his way. He’ll take care of it."
But Kajelina, terrified of being burned alive, couldn’t calm down. "Dad, the person you’re sending, is he really that capable? I’m scared!"
Sonka didn’t know how to reassure her, so he said, "You have to trust him. You might not know who he is, but his reputation in the underworld is not just talk."
Even Sonka wasn’t entirely sure, so he added, "Wait there. I’ll call someone else to ask about this."
But after hanging up, Sonka didn’t dare call Joseph again, fearing he might be seen as annoying.
Suddenly, his daughter called him again.
"Dad, I see them! They’re here!" Kajelina’s voice was filled with relief, almost on the verge of tears.
From outside, she could see a black car pulling up to the building. The door opened, and several men in suits stepped out, accompanied by a fierce-looking woman carrying a weapon.
"Aren’t those Mr. Joseph’s people?" Sonka quickly asked.
"They’re here! They’ve already knocked several people down! They’re amazing! Oh my God!" Kajelina exclaimed excitedly.
Hearing this, Sonka felt a wave of relief. At least Joseph was safe, which meant he hadn’t been deceived.
After Joseph and his team got out of the car, a middle-aged man in black pointed at them and demanded, "Who’s in charge here?"
Each side stared each other down until Joseph stepped forward from the crowd.
"I’m the one in charge of Weizhong Group. Who are you?"
The man hadn’t expected Joseph to be so young, and his face showed his surprise. "In charge of Weizhong Group? Since when did they put kids in charge?"
Regardless of who Joseph was, the man wasn’t going to let him off. He quickly signaled his men to charge at Joseph.
Joseph scoffed and swung his fists, swiftly taking down several men before moving on to the next. These black-clad men were skilled in using firearms and appeared strong, but when faced with someone stronger, what could they do? Joseph’s men quickly overpowered and eliminated them.
Joseph watched the scene unfold, a smirk playing on his lips. "You guys are too weak. No combat ability whatsoever!"
With that, he turned his back on the fallen men, who lay motionless on the ground.
"How dare you attack me with such little strength? Aren’t you afraid people will laugh at you?"
Upstairs, Kajelina was thrilled by Joseph’s prowess. "Who is this man? He’s incredible!"
But just as they thought the trouble was over, nearly a hundred more men in black appeared out of nowhere, shocking Kajelina.
"Oh no, how are they going to handle this? We’re doomed!" she exclaimed.
The company’s employees were equally anxious, watching the overwhelming number of black-clad men with dread. Could this be the notorious underworld?
But Joseph remained unfazed. To him, these men were nothing but weaklings.
"You really think you can take me down with this lot? You’re overestimating yourselves!"
Joseph’s nonchalant attitude left everyone in disbelief. The men in black glanced at each other before charging at Joseph.
Joseph shook his head in disdain. "Today marks your demise."
