Chapter 126: Joseph Takes Action
Before resolving everything, Joseph had one more thing to deal with.
He had to eliminate the threat from Texas.
After leaving Lucy and Tangna, Joseph went straight to Texas. Meanwhile, Kainan was sleeping in his room, unaware of what was happening.
Suddenly, he heard strange noises in the distance, the kind of sound one hears when facing something terrifying—an instinctive, chilling fear.
Most people wouldn’t hear it, but someone at Kainan and Joseph’s level could.
Hearing this, Kainan immediately woke up from his sleep.
“Who’s there?!”
In the next second, he saw two figures flip through the door from a distance.
Kainan instantly became alert.
“Who are you?!”
He was inwardly shocked, not because of their appearance, but because their movements were incredibly ghostly, like phantoms!
Squinting his eyes, Kainan demanded, “Who are you?”
The two members of the Fallen Order didn’t bother with words.
“Kill!”
One of them held a dagger, aiming straight for Kainan’s throat.
The other swung a fist at Kainan’s abdomen.
Kainan dodged the dagger, countering with a punch that collided with the other’s fist.
After a brief exchange, Kainan realized their skill was formidable.
“Didn’t expect you to be better than me! I hadn’t considered that!”
“Where did you come from?”
But the two attackers remained silent.
Kainan knew there was a significant gap between him and them.
The only way to have a chance was to use his ultimate technique!
He unleashed his unique skill, causing the room to glow brightly.
“Die, all of you!”
Kainan’s hands moved faster, creating a small whirlwind around him.
Ordinary people would stand no chance against Kainan.
But these were no ordinary people.
The two members of the Fallen Order coordinated perfectly, their attacks relentless, gradually putting Kainan at a disadvantage.
Within minutes, Kainan’s body was covered with over a dozen bloody wounds!
Blood dripped onto the floor, spreading around him.
Yet, Kainan showed no fear, only determination in his eyes.
He grabbed an iron rod from nearby.
“Die, all of you!”
Kainan swung the rod, engaging in a fierce battle.
However, his injuries severely impacted his strength, and he started to feel overwhelmed.
At that moment, a mysterious force descended.
Joseph appeared, his presence so powerful that the entire room seemed to tremble.
“Joseph!”
Kainan was stunned.
The members of the Fallen Order, still intent on their mission, moved to attack. For them, killing one or two made no difference.
But as they struck, Joseph swiftly intervened, his blade intercepting their daggers.
Though they could continue fighting, they knew doing so would likely mean death due to Joseph’s presence.
Realizing this, the two exchanged a glance, preparing to retreat.
Joseph gave them no chance.
As one assassin tried to flee, Joseph’s blade severed his hand!
“It's the Reaper!!”
Seeing the symbol on the blade, they recognized it instantly.
Panic set in, and they screamed, desperate to escape.
But Joseph’s speed was too great, leaving them no time to flee.
Their movements slowed by their injuries, they couldn’t avoid Joseph’s next attack.
With a powerful punch, he sent them flying.
“This…”
Their livers were shattered instantly!
Still mid-air, they convulsed, blood spraying from their mouths.
They crashed into the wall with a thunderous noise.
“Boom!”
The wall cracked from the impact!
Seeing they were still alive, Joseph approached to finish them off.
One of them pointed at Joseph.
“Going against the Fallen Order! Joseph, you won’t survive! Never!”
“Just wait!”
Joseph’s eyes turned cold, and he kicked fiercely.
“Boom!”
The man’s head was crushed under Joseph’s foot.
“Threatening me?”
“You’re tired of living.”
Seeing his comrade die in a single blow, the other assassin died of fright.
After dealing with them, Joseph turned to Kainan.
Thanks to Joseph’s intervention, the two members of the Fallen Order were easily defeated.
He checked Kainan’s injuries.
“What brought you here?”
Kainan asked.
“I sensed something unusual and came to check.”
Joseph replied.
“Let’s tend to your wounds first.”
Joseph carefully treated Kainan’s injuries.
“Your internal organs are almost shattered.”
He said, his expression tense.
“Thank you, Mr. Joseph!”
Kainan said gratefully.
“No need for thanks. You’ll be joining our Reaper organization, so you’re a friend.”
Joseph said.
“Besides, this incident isn’t simple. Why would the Fallen Order target me?”
Kainan’s words finished, and Joseph looked at him.
Joseph couldn’t tell Kainan the truth yet.
“We need to investigate further.”
Joseph said, frowning.
“There might be a bigger conspiracy behind this.”
Kainan nodded, but the stress caused him to faint.
Having treated his wounds, Joseph wasn’t too worried about anything else for now.
