Making Up Rose was speechless. How did she become the focus? She thought that she had the upper hand and that she was questioning Scarlett right now. Who knew how the situation changed and now she was the one being questioned? It did not seem to make any sense at all! "Hey...I thought this was about you. How did the focus change to me?" Rose asked . Scarlett sneered. "Don't try to change the topic. Tell me. What is going on between you and Matt?" She asked. Rose ".....??" Who is trying to change the topic here? When it comes to being shameless, there isn't anyone who can compare to Scarlett at all! Rose knew that there was no way she would be able to win an argument with Scarlett so she had no choice not to give in. "Well....there isn't much going on!" She said. Scarlett raised an eyebrow. From what she could see just now, it didn't seem like not much. "Just what exactly is going on?" Scarlett asked. Because she was still fidgety, thinking that Rose was going to bring the conversation back to her and Ryder, her words had a note of urgency. It seemed that Rose did not notice it or she was just ignoring it. "Ermmm...we ran into each other a few times outside the company" Rose said. Scarlett knew that there was no way it was as simple as them running into each other a few times. There had to be much more going on. "You are not telling the full story!" Scarlett accused. Rose sighed. She really isn't a match for Scarlett. She was the one who wanted to question her, but now Scarlett has the upper hand, and now she can't even choose to tell her half of the story. "Fine. I'll tell you. Matt and I met at a bar. I got drunk that day and someone wanted to take advantage of me. Well, he helped me. Another time, we met at a boutique. Sonia and her manager were trying to embarrass me and he showed up too. Well after that, he said that he liked me!" Rose decided to get it all out in one breathe or else she knew that tht questioning was never going to end. Scarlett "....." This was way bigger than she had imagined. She didn't think that it was going to be this crazy! He actually said that he likes her? No wonder Matt was acting they way earlier. This really is big scoop! Scarlett was excited at the news. "He said that he likes you? So are the both of you dating now?" Scarlett asked. She was so excited. Rose glared at her. "Do you know that you are acting like a paparazzi right now?" She said in disdain. Scarlett couldn't be bothered to care about that. "Forget that! If you are trying to change the topic it means that you are trying to hide something!" Scarlett said. Rose could only let out a bitter laugh. Who really is trying to change the topic and hide something here? Can Scarlett be any more less shameless? Scarlett did not wait for Rose to say anything else. She ïnstantly started bombarding her with questions. "So are the both of you going out now? Why were you ignoring him earlier? Did he do something to make you angry?". Rose was speechless once again. "Can you please not jump to conclusions? Who said that the both of us are dating? We are not dating at all!" Rose denied it at once. "Why?" Scarlett asked. Immediately she asked that question, she realized how inappropriate it was. Rose said that Matt asked her out, she never said that he likes her... Oops...it looks like she is the one getting ahead of herself here. Rose went solemn when she heard that question from Scarlett. Scarlett too was able to tell that something was wrong so she did not say anything, she kept quiet. Waiting for Scarlett to talk. "Someone like Matt, he doesn't know what it means to like someone. I'll be a total idoit if I fall for that!" Rose said. Scarlett really did not know what she was supposed to say. He doesn't know what it means to like someone? What does Rose mean? The truth was that Scarlett did not know Matt really well and so there was no way that she could comment on this. Even though she was married to Ryder and the both of them were best friends, she didn't even know Ryder well before they got married. Right now, she couldn't even say that she knows him well. So how can she know what Matt was like? Scarlett was sure that Rose knows what she is doing. No matter what, she is going to support Rose's decision. Rose saw that Scarlett was confused and so she explained to her. "Someone like Matt, he doesn't know what it means to like someone. He said that he likes me but it doesn't have any sincerity at all. How can I fall for someone like that? People like Matt, they have the attention span of a three year old. Once the novelty wears off, then there's nothing left. The only one in pain would be me. Why should I take such a gamble?" Rose asked she felt that it was completely useless. There was no need for her to get involved when she already knows what the ending is going to be like. Scarlett pursed her lips. Could it be that Rose was right? Maybe because the both of them were friends, Scarlett could not stop thinking about Ryder when Rose talked about Matt. Maybe she was right. Ryder said that he loves her...he even went ahead to do those things a few days ago.... however can she be sure about how sincere Ryder really is? Maybe it's just as Rose said, when the novelty wears off, there'll be nothing left. And the only one in pain would be her.... She was really scared...she really did not dare to take the gamble at all. Rose saw that Scarlett had spaced out and so she snapped her fingers in her face. "Back to earth Scarlett! What are you thinking about?" Rose asked. "Nothing. It's nothing" Scarlett said. She didn't want to talk about it. Mainly because she wasn't sure about what she was feeling right now. "Let's forget about that. What about the drama? I can meet the production team tommorow right?" Scarlett asked. She really needed to change the topic and push Ryder out of her mind. Thinking about it was giving her an headache. "Yes, it's pretty much confirmed. But there's something that you should know Scarlett" Rose said. She did not think that it was any use keeping it from Scarlett now. Anyway, they were going to meet each other really soon. It was best to have Scarlett prepared to meet them. "What is it?" Scarlett asked. "Well, it's Sonia. She's the second lead for the drama" Rose said. Scarlett was obviously displeased. "What? I have to be in a drama with her?" Rose sighed. "Well, that's how it is. I don't know how it happened all of a sudden. The second lead was supposed to be a newbie who started acting a few months back. She has good skills and has appeared in some dramas but all of a sudden, it was changed and Sonia got it" Rose said. Even though she did that she did not know how it happened, between the both of them, it was very clear that they saw between the lines what Sonia has done. She probably hooked up with one of the investors for the drama and she got herself the second lead role. Well, when it comes to that, Sonia really is capable. "Tsk...tsk... tsk...Sonia really is capable. Isn't she scared that people will find out if she keeps doing things like this?" Scarlett asked with obvious disdain in her voice. Rose sighed. "Well, the public only sees what they were shown anyway. As long as it doesn't affect us, I'm pretty sure that it isn't a big deal. We can deal with it. You just need to be prepared. Sonia always wants to compete with you. I'm just worried that she might do something" "Ah! Do I still need to prepare myself to deal with someone like Sonia? She isn't even worth tht time and the effort. I really hope that she's smarter than before now she she knows how to stay out of my way. Or else, she is only going to have herself to blame" Scarlett said Rose chuckled. Obviously, Judging from her actions when they met, she isn't smarter than she was before. She is actually much more stupid than before. Scarlett wasn't bragging. She really isn't a match for Scarlett at all. She would have to try harder if she wants to beat Scarlett. "And the male lead is who?" Scarlett asked. It was important to know who she was acting along side with. It has better be someone whom she could at least get along with. "Oh....it's Kyle. I remember that the both of them have worked together for an advertisement before. It shouldn't be much of a problem" Rose said. Scarlett shrugged. She didn't have much impression about that person. Even though he was quite popular, she didn't know anything much about him. In fact if Rose did not mention it, she had completely forgotten about the advertisement. "Anyway, we'll take it as it comes" Scarlett said. And as for Sonia, she has never been afraid of her. She will never be afraid of her. ********* Matt and Ryder made thier way to a well known bar after he had dropped off the luggage at home. Matt really couldn't understand Ryder at all. He has given him more shock today then in the twenty something years that he had known him. "What is going on with you Ryder? Since when did you become such a nice person? You are even being so nice to Scarlett? Didn't you hate her a lot one month ago? What really happened? It couldn't be....." Matt paused. It seemed that he had caught on to something. Ryder looked up at Matt when he heard that. Did this person finally figure out something? "It can't be that she has something that she can use against you right?" Matt asked. Seriously, that was the only explanation that he could come up with. Besides that, he could not think it anything else. Ryder "......" What kind of friend did he even have? "Hey, am I such a terrible person in your eyes? What could Scarlett possibly have against me?" Ryder asked. "Well, you aren't doing drugs are you?" Matt asked. "......" It seemed that the only reason Matt came here with him was to annoy him. What does he mean by doing drugs? Is he really such a têrrible person in his eyes? "Hey, what the hell do you mean by doing drugs? Am I such a bad person to you?. Did you come here with me today just to make me angry?" Ryder asked. Matt saw that Ryder was serious. He too felt that he had gone overboard. Really, Ryder might be irresponsible, with no sense of responsibility at all but he definitely can't be that bad right? Ryder who could not hear his thoughts "......" "Anyway, Scarlett doesn't have anything against me. Don't jump to conclusions" Ryder said. Matt is a smart person. He would be sure to get what he means now. Just as expected, Matt looked up at once with a bewildered look on his face. "Don't tell me, that you like Scarlett now?!!" Ryder didn't need to reply, his expression said it all. "What?! You really like Scarlett? How on Earth did this happen? Is something like this even possible at all?" Matt seemed like he could not bring himself to believe it no matter what. "I think more impossible things have happened in the past one month" Ryder said. Matt was confused. "What?"
