Scandal Ryder only said one word. "Rose" "....." Matt looked at Ryder. He wanted to refute him but he could not find any words to do so because he was telling the truth. He did like Rose. Seriously, he did not think before that something would have happened between the both of them. Thinking about it this way, he really should not be surprised that something happened with Ryder and Scarlett! But still, no matter what Matt thought, he still had to put up a front in front of Ryder. "Ha! What are you talking about? I don't understand" Matt said trying to avoid his gaze. "You don't understand? What a joke! Do you think I'm blind? Hey, tell me. What is really going on between the both of you? Are the both of you a couple now?" Ryder asked. Matt : "....." He was specheless. In this aspect, He thought that Ryder should really just go be a reporter. He was really letting his good talent go to waste here! "Why don't you go be a reporter? You are letting your talent go to waste!" Matt said. He really could not resist the urge to make fun of Ryder. Ryder wasn't bothered though. He kept his gossiping look on. "Don't try to change the topic. Quick, tell me what is going on between the both of you. Are you dating now?... No it doesn't seem like the both of you are dating. It seems like she was ignoring you...what did you tell her? Don't tell me? You confessed to her and failed right?" Ryder asked. Matt really wanted to cough up some blood at this point. It was fine if he knew it in his heart. Did he have to say it out and antagonize him like this? What kind of friend does he even have? How did he end up making friends with someone like Ryder? Ryder saw the look on Matt's face and he knew at once that he has guessed right. "I guessed right? I can't believe that this day finally came. I get to see the day that Matt was rejected by a woman!" Ryder said. It was clear that he was gloating. Even though saying that Matt was a player like Ryder was a bit of exgarration, it was safe to say that there had never been a woman that Matt wanted that he did not manage to seduce. Even though he didn't play around like Ryder, at most for Matt before he met Rose, relationships weren't something that he had really invested his time in. Thinking about it made him feel really frustrated. Matt could not be bothered to care about the fact that Ryder was probably looking down on him and making fun of him right now. . He just wanted to seek "advice" from the "expert" here. "She said that I wasn't sincere enough! She said that I didn't know what it means to like someone. Why don't you tell me? What does it mean to like someone? I already made it clear enough that I like her. Yet she said that she can't see my sincerity, tell me, what am I supposed to do?" Matt immediately aired out how grieviances. Ryder really wanted to laugh out loud. But he saw the look on Matt's face and he held himself back. No matter what, he could not make his friend feel more terrible that he was already feeling. See, he was such a good friend! "Tell me, are you really serious about her this time?" Matt ".....???" Does this Ryder think that everyone else is like him? Is he really hearing this question from Ryder right now? "I don't think that you are in a position to ask me such a question. I'm definitely not like you!" Matt said. He really felt that he had to wash his reputation clean now. He clearly didn't do anything wrong, why does he keep getting affected by Ryder's bad reputation? Even Rose's opinions of him were affected by Ryder's reputation. From the start, he has always been the one on the losing end of this friendship. Ryder pursed his lips before he answered Matt . "If you want to win bee over, you have to be persistent. She said that you don't have any sincerity, then you should show your sincerity. You definitely can't back out because she will only think that she is right then!. Like how I treat Scarlett. Ultimately, she is softening towards me!. Because I'm persistent!" Ryder said. When he said the last , there was a lot of pride in his voice. Matt could not hide the disgust that was in his eyes. But either Ryder did not notice it or he chose to ignore him. Scarlett wasn't going to accept him at first but he did not give up! He kept sticking to her and acting shameless. Even though she had not accepted it now, he was sure that all of that was only going to be a matter of time! He will make her accept! Matt rolled his eyes anyway, he had already gotten what he wanted from Ryder. He could not be bothered to entertain this person anymore. He said that he has to be persistent right? He was going to give it a try. He had never been a patient person but he was ready to try it out for Rose's sake. She sure is lucky to meet a guy like him! Since his problem could have been said to be half settled, he could finally focus on Ryder now. He at least has to know that Mira was back right? "Well, Ryder, there is something that you should know. Mira is back" Matt said. He had a feeling that things were going to get interesting from here on. He finally let go of Scarlett and found someone that he likes. However, Mira just had to come back now. And she has every intention to break up his marriage. Anyway, Matt just wanted to watch a good show. People who watch from the sides are not afraid of the situation blowing up! Besides, it takes two for a situation like this to blow up. As long as Ryder doesn't indulge her, she won't be able to cause any major damage. And Matt sincerely believed that Mira wasn't a match for Scarlett at all! When Ryder heard that Mira was back, his hands shook for a moment. It wasn't that he missed her or that he had nostalgia for thier former relationship. Right now, he was completely over that woman. It was just that....it was something that he did not expect at all. Why did she come back all of a sudden? What is going on with her? Matt looked at Ryder's expression. What is going on with Ryder? It isn't that he still misses Mira and he is thinking about getting together with her now that she is back right? Ryder might be his friend but if he really thought of doing that, then he would be a complete jerk! He won't even be able to stand on his side then! Anyway, he never liked that Mira to begin with. Who does she think she is trying to play tricks with? "You ...are not going to get back with Mira again right?" Matt asked cautiously. Ryder glared at Matt. "what nonsense are you talking? Am I such a person in your eyes? Even if I didn't have anything to do with Scarlett right now, I won't even get back with her!" Ryder said. People's feelings were just like that. He personally felt that the feelings that he had for Mira then weren't even that deep. He was just unhappy with the fact that she left him like this. Anyway, whatever it was that he felt for Mira had already worn out. Besides there was Scarlett in the picture now. No matter how much of a bastard he was, since he has already made up his mind on Scarlett now, then he won't go around to do anything that was going to let her down. Matt sighed in relief when he heard Ryder saw it. It was okay as long as he knew that he could not cross the boundaries. He could tell him now. "Anyway, Mira has a clear goal for coming back this time. She wants to get back together with you!" Ryder's first reaction was yelling, "Is she crazy??" Matt completely agreed with that. Because he knew that if she wasn't crazy, she won't even come up with the ideas that she comes up with. She wants to get back with Ryder and she even thought about coming to him? Wasn't she clear on the fact that he never even liked her from the beginning? What is she thinking in her head? Anyway, she was the one who caused Rose to misunderstand him even more. He had not settled the score for that with her yet. He was going to make sure to settle it! She should just wait! He won't let her off easy! "Yes. She came to find me. She said that she knows that she was wrong and that she really wants to be together with you now!" No matter how Matt said it, it just seemed like he was mocking Mira now. Ryder was starting to get worried now. It wasn't that he was ever going to have anything to do with Mira anymore. It was just that he hoped that Mira showing up now won't affect the relationship that he has with Scarlett. However right now, his relationship with Scarlett wasn't stable at all! If things got out hand, then...he did not even want to think about it at all! He really did now want Mira to ruin things for him right now. It seemed that he has to stay away from Mira. Since she said that she came back for him, he knew that Mira would be sure to look for him in a few days. He had to avoid her so that he could avoid all gossips. He didn't want a part of it. That would for sure be the best thing to do. But it was true that the more one tried to avoid something, the more one was sure to meet it. Ryder and Matt never expected that they were going to run into Mira here. Ryder was still thinking about what he was going to do and how he was going to solve this when he heard a sickeningly sweet voice said call him, "Ryder!" There was much enthusiasm in the voice but it did not move Ryder at all. Instead it made him want to curse! Ryder turned to face Mira. He didn't try to conceal the displeasure on his face. Matt on his part was secretly gloating. The only thing that he was lacking now was a bowl of popcorn to go along with watching a good show! He really wanted to see how Ryder would deal with Mira. "Ryder! I really didn't think that I would run into you here!" Mira said. She looked as if she was beyond happy. Anyway, she was just putting on a show. She wasn't dense. She could see the look that Ryder was giving her. And Matt was with him too. Who knew what bad things Matt had said to Ryder about her? Ever since thier discussion did not go well that day, she no longer had any expectations from this person. She just had to focus on Ryder! Hmph! She did not believe that she won't be able to get him on her own! Ryder rolled his eyes when he saw her attitude. Even he could tell that she was ignoring Matt. That was good. It would be wonderful if she could ignore him too!
