Help Her Out? Does she Need it? (2) "Ah, I do find that hard to believe. You keep sticking to your husband like your entire life revolves around him. I thought that you would be too preoccupied with thoughts of him to have friends!" Cole said. "Get out! Get out right now!" Daniel roared! no, there is no way that this person is his son! There is a mistake! There must have been a mistake somewhere! How can his own son want to drive him to his grave like this? Vivian rushed to her husband immediately. She could now understand why her husband was always worked up when he sees his son! There is no way that anyone can stand such a terrible person! Where does he even get the guts to talk to them like this? "Since you want me to leave, I'll leave then;!" Cole said. He made as if he wanted to get up but Vivian immediately grabbed his hand. She then realized that this was probably a ploy of Cole. He wanted to make then mad and then make then drive him off so he doesn't have to do what he wants him to! Well tough break! Because she isn't going to fall for it! "Let's go inside and talk! Let's go to your room!" Vivian said pulling her son along. She did not doubt that Daniel was going to chase him off with a broom if he opened that vicious mouth of his ever again! Hell, even she wanted to drive him off. She did not know how she ended up with this son! "Go upstairs with you? Doesn't he want me to leave? I'm going to leave right now !'" Cole said. He made a show of wanting to leave but Vivian refused to let him go "Let's go upstairs Cole!" Vivian said. She did not give him any chance to reject her at all! She finally managed to pull him upstairs. "Cole, do you really have to make your father angry the second that you come home? The both of you have not seen each other in six months! Do you have to annoy him like this immediately you see him? Why do you keep antagonizing him like this?" Vivian asked immediately they were inside his room. "I just like seeing him angry! Seeing him angry for some reason puts me in a really good mood!" Cole said. There was a rare smile on his face when he said that. Vivian knew that there was no way that she would be able to have this conversation with him. She decided to give it up all together. She learned her lesson today! She would never ask him to come home if Daniel is going to be home. "What's this about a cousin?" Cole was the one who changed the topic in the end. "Yes. Scarlett is your cousin. She's the daughter of your aunt Vanessa! I'm always telling you about her! We used to be really close before I had you but then..... anyway, Scarlett is your cousin! You should take good care of her!" Vivian said. She did not want to fill Cole up in the story that started twenty five years ago. Cole scratched his head. He really could not remember any aunt. He did not even remember his mother telling him about any aunt. Is it because he never listened to any of the stories that his mother told him? Vivian was immediately able to guess what was going on in his mind. "You never listened when I talk to you right?" Vivian asked. His silence was an admission. Vivian rolled her eyes. She wanted him to leave now! She did not want to see this son! "Anyway, you need to know that you should take good care of her from now on. After all,she's still your cousin! Her mother is your aunt. She's been having a hard time. It isn't as if she doesn't have a family!'' Vivian said. After hearing that Scarlett was his cousin, Cole could not help but be interested in her. The both of them have worked together for a commercial once so he did not some impression of the woman. But she never gave him the impression that she needs someone to take care of her! Instead of worrying if someone was going to bully her, they should be worrying if she's going to bully someone! That woman Scarlett...she isn't a simple person at all! The fact that she was able to survive in the industry for so long and make it big without a backing and without making use of the hidden rules only goes to show that she isn't a simple character at all! She definitely doesn't need someone to take care of her! He was sure that Scarlett could take care of herself. "You want me to help Scarlett out? Are you sure that she needs it?" Cole asked. "Anyway, thanks for telling me about my cousin. I have to leave now" Cole said. Vivian pursed her lips. It didn't seem as if Cole was lying when he said that Scarlett won't be bullied easily. Does she really not know everything about Scarlett? After all, they don't even know each other well. They have never even met officially before. Maybe Cole knows better. "Are you going to leave now? It's already so late, why don't you stay behind tonight and leave tomorrow ?" Vivian tried to play the good mother. "Don't pretend mom. I know that you want me to disáppeear. And besides, your husband won't let me stay here." Cole said. Vivian pursed her lips. He was right. She would rather have him leave than have to listen to his harsh comments. "Alright then. Take care on the road" Vivian said. He was still her son. She still cared. "Goodbye mom" Cole said. They'd probably see each other in the next six months if she doesn't come to his place to look for him. Cole left the room and went downstairs. Seeing that his father was still fuming, he had a satisfied grin on his face. He really liked annoying this old man! This was pay back for all the things that he suffered in his child hood! "Goodbye old man. We probably won't see each other in the next six months. Make sure that you don't die before then!" Cole said. His father glared at him. And then come bust into laughter before he walked out of the house Behind him, he could hear his father cursing but he did not care at all. Immediately he got in his car,. Cole called his manager. "Kelvin! What drama did you say you wanted me to act in? The one with Scarlett as the lead!" Cole went straight to the point immediately the other person picked up the phone. He was never someone who cared about manners anyway. Kelvin, on the other end of the phone was angry at being woken up by this volatile artist that he managed but his countenance immediately lit up when he heard what he had to say He had been trying so hard to convince Cole to take up the drama but he said that he wasn't in the mood. What happened? Why does he want to act in it all of a sudden? "Yes, there's a new drama with Scarlett as the female lead. The production asked you to be the male lead. But.... didn't you say that you didn't....want to?" Kelvin asked. He had to be careful when he talked to cole. He did not know which word he said was going to set him off and make him angry. He was always really careful she has was talking to Cole. Out of habit, Cole cocked his brows when he heard that. "Why? Don't you want me to act in it?" He asked. His words carried am underlying threat. "Want, want! Of course I want you to act in it! I'm just really happy that you changed your mind!" Kelvin said. This person made it seem as if he was never going to do it no matter how much he begged him but then he called him in the middle of the night to tell him that he had changed his mind? He really did not know what went on in his guy's head. Anyway, as long as he has agreed to do it, he was happy. It would have been a real pity if he did not want to do it. There was no way be was going to be able to answer to the production team then and if was definitely going to affect his reputation. It was a good thing that he agreed. "Anyway, I'm going to do it. You can tell that production team that. Scarlett is going to be the female lead right? They won't change her out right?" Cole asked. He had to be sure of that. Kelvin was surprised. This guy....he did not agree to do the drama because of Scarlett right? He isn't going to cause some more trouble with Scarlett right? Kelvin pursed his lips. "I'm going to tell the production team that you agreed. But Cole....you are not agreeing to be in the drama because of Scarlett right?" Kelvin asked. He had to be sure about this. Cole might be a really popular actor and the male version of Scarlett in the industry but his reputation....if was already in the ruins. He had more scandals than he had more works to his name. Just two weeks, he was involved in a really big scandal with a model! There were even rumours of the model being pregnant! Only two months has passed and he was now getting ready to cause some more trouble? He wasn't going to allow that Besides, Scarlett is already married. Cole....he doesn't want to mess around with a married woman right? She had such a high profile wedding. There is no way that Cole doesn't knkw that she is married. What is he trying to do messing around with a married woman? Cole thought about Kelvin's question. He is doing this for Scarlett. After finding that she is his cousin, he was suddenly interested in her. But Cole had a nagging feeling that Kelvin was getting at something else. "Yes. I agreed to be in the drama because of Scarlett" Cole said. Kelvin's fears were confirmed. No! He can't let Cole go down on such a terrible road. "Cole, you can't do that! Scarlett is different from most actresses! You can't mess around with her! Besides, she is already married! You can't want to be with a married woman right? Don't do it Cole!" Kelvin said.
