Auction (3) "Really? Are you sure that's the only reason?" Kaira said. Her tone seemed deep, like she had just figured out something that her father did not want her to know. Ethan had not noticed the change in Kaira. He asked blankly "what are you talking about? Don't you know that it's wrong to treat people the way that you treat them?" "Dad, I don't think that there's a need for you to pretend in front of me and act like a high moral officer. The reason why you are scolding me isn't because you think that I was rude to that woman. If it was someone else you won't even care. When have you ever cared about tht things that I do? I think that you can just drop the silly act of you caring. She didn't really care about that woman. But she was worried about the daughter that he had with her. Since her mother was no longer alive he has all the freedom to do Whatever he wants to do. Seriously what does that man take her for? An idoit that is going to do whatever he wants as long as he says it? Well, she was quite stupid for him in the past. She did every single thing according to what he wanted. She even left her good life and family for his sake. Thinking about how much she begged him, not so that he could come back to her but so that he could acknowledge the fact that he had a daughter and not let Scarlett suffer so much, she was really angry. She was humiliated by his new wife Brenda on so many occasions. Her daughter was no longer a kid. She was now twenty five years old. She was almost fifty now and having her daughter was the only proud thing that she had done in her life. What if he went ahead to find Scarlett and told her all sorts of lies? That man really is the best at manipulating the feelings of other people!
