Chapter 89: Teacher Red Fruit
Tangna raised her head, a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
"Really? Dad, you can't lie to me!"
Joseph smiled and nodded.
"Don't worry, Dad will always keep my promises."
At that moment, the waiter brought over a table of sumptuous dishes. Tangna's attention was immediately drawn to the food.
It seemed that this would be the end of it.
But even after finishing her meal, Tangna still looked a bit sad.
"Ugh, I still want to be with Teacher Red Fruit."
"If I can't tell Teacher Red Fruit about everything I've been through recently, it wouldn't be fair to her!"
Hearing this, Joseph and Lucy exchanged glances.
"Where is this Teacher Red Fruit?" Joseph asked.
"Who is she?"
Lucy explained,
"Teacher Red Fruit is Tangna's kindergarten teacher. She helped Tangna learn many new things."
"But now, Teacher Red Fruit isn't around here anymore. She's quite far away."
"If we go there, it might be dangerous, right?" she added, knowing Joseph was not an ordinary man. If he did too many bad things around, it wouldn't be good for him if someone found out.
"No worries. If Tangna wants to go, I'll take her."
"A child should get everything she wants."
"Now, let's focus on our meal, okay, Tangna?"
At the same time, in the office of the deputy director of Sunflower Kindergarten.
Teacher Red Fruit, whose real name was Tang Bruce, was standing in front of the deputy director.
The deputy director looked at Tang Bruce.
"Do you know what kind of person you are? Many of your students have stopped coming to school."
"So, I'm sorry, but since our school has enough teachers, you won't be needed anymore."
Tang Bruce was stunned.
"What? I've been here for a long time!"
"If you just let me go like this, it's too cruel!"
The deputy director laughed.
"You can choose not to leave, but you need to do one thing—become my lover."
Tang Bruce was in shock. The deputy director, Bidens, was almost fifty, with children as old as herself. Why was he talking about something as disgusting as this?
Thinking of this, Tang Bruce shook her head.
"Sorry, I can't agree to your request."
The deputy director smiled.
"If you can't agree, then you need to leave this kindergarten."
"I believe you will have a bright future. Haha."
That was no blessing; it was a curse!
Tang Bruce had no other choice.
As she turned to leave, Bidens blurted out,
"When you think it over, you can come back. I can give you another chance."
"And by the way, the principal is retiring in a few years. If you don't seize this opportunity, you'll miss out."
Tang Bruce shook her head and decided to leave.
Bidens quickly said,
"If you agree, you'll be the deputy director in two years!"
Because Tang Bruce was so beautiful, Bidens was very fond of her. But she had no intention of being with him.
"Don't refuse my kindness."
Tang Bruce shook her head again.
"Sorry, Director. I'll leave."
"Whether you're the deputy director or the principal, it has nothing to do with me."
"Goodbye."
Tang Bruce had always wanted to work for the benefit of children and had no intention of selling herself for advancement.
So, even though she was fired, she was unafraid.
Leaving the kindergarten, Tang Bruce felt dejected.
Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice.
"Teacher Red Fruit, I missed you so much!"
Tang Bruce looked up.
It was Tangna.
"Eh? Tangna, what are you doing here?"
Seeing Tang Bruce's tear-stained face, Tangna grew worried.
"Teacher Red Fruit, why are you crying?"
"Did someone bully you?"
Seeing Tangna was a surprise.
Tang Bruce quickly said,
"Ah, it's nothing. I just got some sand in my eyes."
"Got sand in your eyes? Let my dad blow it out for you."
Joseph and Tangna approached Tang Bruce, before Joseph could ask what was wrong, Tangna had already spoken.
Joseph felt embarrassed.
"Cough, sweetie, you shouldn't say things like that."
Tang Bruce waved her hand.
"No need, really. Thank you, Tangna and Tangna's dad."
Tangna looked at Tang Bruce.
"Teacher, are you really okay? You still seem very sad."
"Teacher, you mustn't give up on yourself!"
To avoid talking about her situation, Tang Bruce changed the subject.
"Ah, Tangna, why haven't you been to class lately? Is it something at home?"
"And who is this man?"
Tang Bruce had heard that Tangna lived with her mom, and their family situation wasn't great.
But now, seeing this, she was curious.
Tangna smiled.
"Dad took us from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and then we're going to Florida!"
"It's not that Tangna isn't feeling well, but Tangna won't be in Los Angeles much anymore. Teacher Red Fruit, don't be too sad."
So that's what happened?
Tang Bruce was genuinely happy for Tangna.
"That's great! Tangna will have a happy life from now on!"
Hearing this, Tangna grinned.
"When Tangna misses you, she'll come back to visit you, Teacher Red Fruit. Don't be too sad."
Joseph looked at Tang Bruce and smiled politely.
"Are you Tangna's teacher? Thank you for taking care of her. I've heard Tangna mention you many times."
Tang Bruce was a bit surprised.
"Hello, I am Tangna's teacher, Tang Bruce."
