Chapter 79: Settle Your Salary and Get Out
Why would no one appreciate someone like her?
They couldn’t understand it at all.
What they didn't know was that Joseph despised flirtatious women the most.
Wearing so little, who exactly were they trying to seduce every day?
Joseph looked at Beyoncé calmly.
"I don’t like people like you. Step back. As for Myrdal, I’m not interested in you. I just want to offer you a different place to work. You know about the commercial center I own, right? Go work there."
"But if you want to stay here, that's fine. I won't make it hard for you."
Everyone was stunned.
The commercial center was the most prestigious place in all of Florida. Working there was beneficial for anyone's career and health.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
"Are you really offering me this opportunity? But I..."
Joseph understood her concerns.
"If you don’t want to go, you don’t have to."
But who wouldn't want to go to the commercial center?
Myrdal had dreamed of working there but never received a response from them.
Now, hearing this from Joseph, Myrdal was ecstatic.
A determined look flashed in Myrdal’s eyes. She decided to seize this rare opportunity.
"Mr. Joseph, I am willing to work at the commercial center!" she said.
Joseph nodded in satisfaction.
"Very well, then prepare yourself. However, working there is not easy. You need to be ready."
Myrdal replied confidently.
"I will do my best!"
Seeing how authoritative Joseph was, Tonksen immediately reacted.
"Could it be that you are the newly appointed president of the commercial center everyone has been talking about?"
Recently, there had been rumors about a change in leadership at the commercial center.
But no one knew who the new president was.
If it was the person standing before them, someone who could casually buy two villas,
Tonksen could understand.
Logically,
someone who could arrange a random job for Myrdal must be connected to the new president.
Joseph said indifferently,
"That doesn’t matter."
"I’m just doing what I want to do."
Beyoncé, seeing that Joseph was a powerful person, tried to ingratiate herself.
"So, do you think I have value too? I also want to work at the commercial center~"
Joseph squinted his eyes.
"Forget it."
"I don’t like people with bad character."
"Maybe in your next life, but this life, you absolutely won’t go to the commercial center."
Beyoncé felt incredibly wronged but didn’t know what to say.
Myrdal still hadn’t recovered from the previous shock. Joseph looked at her calmly.
"Tonksen, my houses are in your hands. From now on, you are fully responsible for whatever happens. Understand?"
"Yes, sir."
After Joseph left, Beyoncé still hadn’t processed everything. Tonksen spoke up.
"What did you mean by wanting to jump ship right in front of me?"
"Huh? I didn't mean that."
"You don’t need to explain. Since you’re so eager to go somewhere else, settle your salary and get out."
Beyoncé was stunned.
"What! That’s not what I meant!"
But Tonksen didn’t give her a chance to explain.
Before she could finish, Tonksen ordered her to leave.
"Please go."
Beyoncé felt deeply wronged but had no valid reason to refuse.
Meanwhile, Joseph and his group were already in the car when he received a call from Beelzebub.
"Boss, we just got news that a dozen highly skilled operatives have come over from New York. They used to work for the president and are now headed our way."
"What should we do, kill them?"
Former presidential operatives? Interesting.
Joseph nodded calmly.
"No problem, let them come."
"I’m feeling a bit bored."
At the hotel, Joseph didn’t encounter the operatives from New York.
Instead, he was visited by members of the Medrigez family.
Medrigez from the Medrigez family rushed over from the security desk, panting as he faced Joseph.
"Mr. Joseph, I’m so glad to finally meet you!"
He dropped to his knees before Joseph.
Anyone who didn’t know better might have thought Joseph had a close relationship with him.
Joseph couldn’t help but laugh.
"Didn’t you reject me outright before?"
Medrigez repeatedly kowtowed.
"Mr. Joseph, I know I was wrong! Please save our family!"
Medrigez pleaded tearfully and snottily.
Joseph looked at him coldly, unmoved.
"When I came seeking cooperation, you threw me out without mercy. Now that you’re in trouble, you come begging for my help?"
Medrigez was deeply ashamed and remained silent.
Knowing he couldn’t manage alone,
he called his subordinates.
"Hello, get Hank and Tom Cruise over here quickly! I can't negotiate with Mr. Joseph alone. We need to face him together!"
Soon, all three appeared before Joseph.
Samael, Joseph’s subordinate, laughed.
"Our boss didn’t ask you to come, yet all three of you are kneeling."
Joseph crossed his arms, scrutinizing the trio.
"Tell me, what trouble are you in?"
Medrigez quickly explained.
"Mr. Joseph, our family is under attack from rival forces. They are ruthless, and we can’t withstand them. Please help us!"
Rival forces.
That was vague enough.
Everyone knew it was Joseph’s doing,
but they couldn’t say it outright. Joseph wouldn’t care.
He was indifferent.
After all, it wasn’t him who was at risk.
Hearing their pleas,
Joseph chuckled coldly.
"You didn’t give me this chance before."
Medrigez and his companions repeatedly apologized.
"Mr. Joseph, we know we were wrong. We will agree to any conditions if you help us."
Joseph pondered for a moment, formulating a plan.
Medrigez and the others continued pleading.
"Mr. Joseph, please give us a solution!"
"Yes, if you help us through this crisis, we’ll do anything!"
"You wanted the commercial center, right? We’ll give it to you for 30 billion!"
They were terrified, covered in cold sweat.
But Joseph replied indifferently.
"Why would I want a nearly bankrupt company?"
