Chapter 66: Members of the Hell Organization?

Joseph nodded in satisfaction. “Very well. You may leave, but if I ever see you again, don’t blame me for being merciless.” Unexpectedly, instead of leaving, Pix turned around and came back. “Sir, I want to be your subordinate. May I?” “From now on, I will follow your orders without question!” Hearing Pix’s words, Joseph remained calm. He nodded in agreement. “That’s fine, but remember what you’ve just said, Pix. If you ever break the promise between us...” “I will hunt down your entire family.” Pix nodded fervently. “Of course, of course!” Joseph had been observing Pix’s attitude. Seeing that Pix was cooperative, he was satisfied. Joseph and his men left, heading to find Cardiff. It was time for Cardiff to experience what true hell felt like. Once the room was silent, Pix dared to lift his head. He let out a sigh of relief and collapsed to the floor. “It’s finally over!” “Cardiff, you’re in big trouble now!” “I almost got dragged down because of you!” Pix sat on the floor for a long time, catching his breath. He realized he had dodged a bullet this time, and he was lucky he hadn’t fully aligned himself with Cardiff. But he also realized he couldn’t continue living under Cardiff’s control. He needed to reclaim his life. “If it weren’t for you convincing my sister to marry you, none of this would have happened!” “I thought I had a good brother-in-law. Turns out, I’ve got nothing!” “You people are just trash!” After venting his frustrations, Pix found his phone. “Cardiff, since you dared to wrong me, don’t blame me for being ruthless!” “I will make you repay every bit of debt you owe me!” Pix began to plan his next move. He needed to gather evidence to expose Cardiff’s crimes and bring him to justice. All this information he would hand over to Joseph. However, he also needed to be cautious of Joseph, who was clearly not an ordinary person. But what was with that mask Joseph’s subordinates were wearing? Curious, Pix called a contact he had met abroad. “Hello! Do you remember me?” “I want to ask, who are the people who wear reaper masks?” “I feel like I’ve seen them before, but I can’t remember.” “What?!” The person on the other end of the line was instantly shocked. “You’re doomed. I’m telling you, you’re completely doomed!” Pix was baffled. “Huh? What’s wrong?” “Do you know who those people are? They’re members of the Hell Organization!” “The only one who doesn’t wear a mask is Joseph! He’s the leader of the Hell Organization!” “If you’ve offended them, no matter where you run, they’ll come after you!” “Pix, let’s not contact each other anymore!” The other person, terrified, hung up the phone immediately after Pix asked about the masks. Hearing this, Pix’s hand trembled, nearly dropping his phone. He sat there in a daze, filled with fear and despair. “Oh my God, I’ve provoked the leader of the Hell Organization!” “What do I do? What should I do?” Pix knew he was in a dire situation. If he didn’t act quickly, he might not survive. After some thought, Pix decided to come clean with Joseph and seek his forgiveness. Gathering his courage, Pix called Joseph to arrange a meeting. But Joseph was not someone Pix could easily contact. Remembering their conversation, Pix recalled Joseph’s words: “Pix, I can spare you for now. But you must prove your worth, or else…” Recalling this, Pix nodded repeatedly, vowing to give his all. “Since Joseph is here for Cardiff, I just need to capture Cardiff.” “No need for anything else.” Pix summoned his subordinates. “Spread the word: start a citywide manhunt for Cardiff. Capture him alive!” He intended to offer Cardiff as a sacrifice to Joseph. Back to the present... Jennifer was talking to Cardiff, unable to contact her brother. She decided to flee with Cardiff. But Cardiff had no intention of waiting for her. As Jennifer was dressing, Cardiff took all the money and prepared to escape. Seeing Cardiff gone, Jennifer broke down. With no other choice, she called Pix, finally reaching him this time. “Brother! Boo-hoo!” Before she could speak, Pix interrupted. “Where’s Cardiff?” “Brother! Cardiff abandoned me! He took all the money and left!” Pix’s response shocked her. “Good. It’s good that he didn’t take you!” Jennifer realized something was wrong. “Brother, why are you saying this?” “Do you know something?” “What happened to your subordinates?” Pix took a deep breath and decided to tell Jennifer the truth. “Cardiff is a liar. He’s deceived all of us. Sister, you need to get away from him, as far as you can!” Jennifer was stunned, unable to believe this revelation. “Brother, you wouldn’t lie to me, right? What’s going on?” Pix explained reluctantly. “I’ve gotten myself into big trouble because of Cardiff. I need to capture him and hand him over to Joseph to solve this. As for my subordinates, they were forced into this.” Jennifer’s heart sank. She couldn’t believe the man she loved had deceived her so thoroughly. And to think that the person Cardiff provoked was someone even her brother feared!
