Chapter 207: Mutual Needs

Joseph smiled and nodded. "You tell us everything needed for the chip, and we’ll take care of it. Beelzebub, you make sure to relay our needs to him." At this point, Joseph knew that there were many challenges ahead of them. The dangerous situations they were facing in secret needed to be resolved. If they didn’t clarify these issues, they would eventually fall under the control of the Reaper Organization. The external threats, as well as the situations involving Gun God and Whip God, were all adversaries to the Hell Organization. Surrounded by enemies, Joseph knew that the only way forward was to tackle each problem head-on. Sonka nodded repeatedly. He realized now that Joseph wasn’t the bad guy he had initially feared. Joseph’s words made sense, and Sonka trusted his judgment, believing that his initial assessment was spot on. “Mr. Joseph, let’s hope for a successful partnership from now on,” Sonka said, shaking Joseph’s hand enthusiastically. Joseph smiled and gave Sonka a reassuring look. Sonka then suggested, “Mr. Joseph, how about we grab something to eat?” Joseph shook his head with a smile. “I’m here on more important business. Sonka, is there something you’re not telling me?” Surprised that Joseph had picked up on it, Sonka nodded. “Yes, Mr. Joseph, I didn’t expect you to notice… We’ve had some issues at our overseas branches. Recently, someone set fire to one of our locations. If we hadn’t caught it in time, it could have been disastrous.” This issue had been a major headache for Sonka. The distance made it hard to manage, and the attackers were highly skilled, causing significant trouble for his operations. Joseph nodded thoughtfully. “I suspected as much when I saw you earlier. Let’s go deal with it now.” Sonka was taken aback. “You mean we can address this issue right away?” Seeing Sonka’s skepticism, Joseph explained, “We’ll confront them and clarify the situation. Then, I’ll tell you what to do. We need to resolve this quickly before they try anything else.” Overjoyed, Sonka expressed his gratitude. “Thank you so much, Mr. Joseph!” Joseph waved it off. “No problem. We’re partners, and this is just a matter of mutual benefit.” Sonka, feeling lucky to have such an ally, suggested, “If you can help us permanently resolve this, we can forgo any payment for the chip partnership. All we ask is that you help us create a safe environment.” Joseph readily agreed. “Consider it done. We’ll take care of it.” With Joseph’s assurance, Sonka knew he had struck gold. He accompanied Joseph to the door, initially planning to invite him for a drink, but Joseph declined. As Joseph and Beelzebub reached the door, they encountered Solano and her boyfriend, who happened to be a manager in HR. Solano, seeing them, exclaimed, “Oh, Jac, you’re finally out!” She tried to cozy up to them, but Beelzebub cut her off. “Call me Beelzebub. I’ve changed my name.” With a faint smile, Beelzebub stood aside. Solano, not sensing any tension, joked, “You changed your name? Well, whatever makes you happy!” Just as Joseph was about to say something, Beelzebub pulled him aside, saying, “It’s fine. Just call me Beelzebub. That’s all I want to be known as now.” With that, she led Joseph away, leaving Solano standing there. Trying to maintain her composure, Solano suggested, “How about we all grab a meal together?” Beelzebub waved her off. “I’m in a hurry to get back.” Solano’s smile froze, and she watched them leave, clenching her teeth in frustration. She knew who Beelzebub was but couldn’t believe she would be left out of such a valuable connection. Meanwhile, as Joseph and Beelzebub walked away, Joseph asked, “Do you want to head back? I can drop you off first.” Beelzebub shook her head. “No need. Mr. Joseph, you should leave quickly. The Reaper Organization is full of lunatics. If you don’t go now, things might get worse.” She was genuinely concerned for Joseph’s safety, urging him to go. Joseph nodded. “Be careful. I’ll do my best to resolve this. If necessary, I’ll make them submit. If they still resist…” As they were talking, Joseph’s phone rang. Answering it, he heard a familiar voice. “Hello?” The voice on the other end was urgent. “Mr. Joseph, we have a problem!” It was the AI using a secure, untraceable line. “Abaddon and Azazel are trapped on an island, surrounded by enemies! They can’t get out!”
