Chapter 180: Peach Blossoms
“The reason I came was quite simple. I knew that if I didn’t come, you’d be in serious trouble—you might have lost your life.”
Joseph’s gaze was filled with concern as he looked at Samael.
Samael was surprised by how much Joseph cared for him. He quickly responded, "But, sir, I’m not worthy of you saving me! I haven’t even completed my mission yet!"
Joseph waved his hand dismissively. "Actually, this situation is partly my fault. The Heaven Organization is no longer a problem now."
"You got hurt because of me, so it’s not entirely your fault."
Hearing this, Samael was momentarily confused. "What? The Heaven Organization is no longer a problem? Joseph, did you handle it?!"
Without the threat of the Heaven Organization, it meant that the Hell Organization was now safe and back to normal. This realization made Samael even more excited as he asked, "Does that mean we’re safe now, Joseph?!"
His eyes sparkled with excitement. Although Joseph and he were different kinds of people, Samael always saw Joseph as a heroic figure. For many years, the name Joseph hadn’t crossed his mind, but when he heard it, he knew Joseph was someone special—a person who had played a crucial role in establishing the Hell Organization.
Without Joseph, the Hell Organization wouldn’t exist as it did today. And now, hearing that Joseph had defeated all the threats and restored peace to the organization left Samael speechless with gratitude and admiration.
However, Joseph didn’t seem too pleased. He sighed and said, "To be honest, I don’t even know why I did it. I used to be indifferent to everything, just waiting for the day to come when I’d help someone. But now I see that we can’t just leave the future to chance. We must focus on the present."
Samael immediately nodded, understanding Joseph’s words. "I see! You truly are remarkable, Joseph!"
After their serious conversation, Joseph teased Samael, "By the way, did you know that your luck with women isn’t bad right now?"
"Someone’s got a crush on you. Did you know that?"
Upon hearing this, Samael’s cheeks flushed bright red, and he looked at Joseph in embarrassment. "What are you talking about? Who—who likes me? That’s impossible!"
Samael quickly denied it, but his mind began to wonder who this woman could be. Despite racking his brain, he couldn’t figure it out and finally looked at Joseph in confusion.
Joseph smiled helplessly and continued, "You don’t need to worry about why you like someone. Sometimes, fate just works that way. You like someone, and they like you back. It’s perfectly normal."
"But if you don’t want to like her, that’s fine too. At the very least, understand whether or not this person could be useful to you."
After hearing this, Samael seemed to understand a bit. Seeing the confused expression on his face, Joseph said calmly, "I won’t keep you in suspense. The person who likes you is Michelle. You remember her name, right?"
Michelle?
The mention of her name made Samael’s eyes widen. "I have nothing to do with her!"
Joseph sighed, "I didn’t say you had anything to do with her; I just said she likes you."
Samael quickly waved his hands. "I’m not interested in that woman! Even if she offered me everything she had, I wouldn’t take it!"
Joseph chuckled at his reaction. "We can talk about this later. We need to get moving now."
With Remiel’s downfall, it was time for them to leave.
Outside, the battle continued. Kainan was moving in and out of the crowd, helping to guard the perimeter. Despite his large build, Kainan wasn’t slow. He was a top-tier assassin in both agility and strength, a far cry from the ordinary people around him.
Not far away, the Gun God was assisting Kainan in the fight. Kainan moved through the crowd with ease, while the black-clad enemies around him screamed in pain. They had been shot by the Gun God, each hit targeting a vital spot—shoulders, necks, abdomens, hearts. The dying men experienced extreme agony before death.
Seeing this, Kainan nodded slightly, visibly excited. The thrill of battle made him feel more alive than he had in a long time.
Just then, a fiery red figure appeared in the distance. As it came closer, the figure became more familiar. Finally, the figure reached Kainan, and a sharp voice rang out!
"Kainan! Behind you! Watch out!"
Hearing this, Kainan turned just in time to see someone rushing at him with a knife. If not for his quick reflexes, he might have been killed!
Kainan nodded toward Joseph, who had called out to him. "Thank you."
After taking care of the enemies around him, Kainan returned to Joseph’s side, helping to carry Samael.
Joseph then addressed the group around them. "Remiel, your leader, has already fled. If you still want to live, it’s best to act with us."
The group of enemies sneered in response. "Don’t think we don’t know what you’re thinking. If what you said was true, the Heaven Organization would have warned us already! And remember, Remiel isn’t our strongest leader. There’s an even more powerful force behind him!"
Whether Remiel ran or died here, they dared not betray him because they knew the force behind him would surely come after them.
After hearing their response, Joseph calmly put on his golden mask again and smiled at them.
"Since you’ve chosen this path, it means you’re ready to die."
"Then, die you shall!"
After laying Samael down, Joseph and Kainan charged into the crowd, ready to fight.
