Chapter 139: Teach That Nasty Woman a Lesson
"For years, we've been trying to find evidence of the Kerry family's crimes, but it's all been useless. They always manage to disappear quickly, and we have no way to bring them to justice because they're too cunning. We can't do anything about them!"
Joseph pondered deeply.
Depp continued, "That's why we need to quickly gather all the evidence we can. That's the only way we'll have a chance to erase this family from the international scene!"
Joseph thought for a moment and nodded. "You're right. In that case, I'll follow your lead!"
"Thank you, Reaper!" Depp exclaimed gratefully.
Joseph's mouth twitched slightly. "But don't forget, my target isn't just the Kerry family. It's also the person behind them. I hope you will fully cooperate when the time comes."
Depp nodded eagerly. "No problem."
Joseph was satisfied and patted him on the shoulder. "I'll start making arrangements now. Be prepared."
Depp nodded again. "I'll take my leave. I'll follow your instructions, and everything will proceed according to your plan."
After saying that, he left.
Joseph looked out at the night through the window, his expression as dark as the shadows.
The Kerry family...
The people of the Kerry family...
His eyes shone with a cold light.
He would not allow anything to stand in his way. He was determined to destroy the Kerry family and wipe them out completely.
Now that Joseph had formed a strategic partnership with Depp, proceeding with Depp's plan seemed reasonable.
People can die at any time; it doesn't have to be now.
After resolving these matters, Joseph decided to visit the hospital to see Nami.
To see his sister.
He hadn't seen her for so many years, and Joseph longed to speak with Nami face to face!
He wanted to take off the mask that covered his face.
But Joseph knew that was impossible.
He couldn't let his family know his current identity; it would put them in grave danger.
When Joseph arrived at the hospital, he saw a malicious woman standing at his grandfather's door.
"It's all your fault back then! Six years ago, if you hadn't let that useless boy leave home and instead handed him over to the Kerry family, how could the Kerry family have had any problems?"
"If it weren't for you, how could our family keep hitting walls everywhere? How could my son not even study abroad?"
"Now, after your legs have been broken, why haven't you died yet? What's wrong with you? Why are you still alive, you old bastard?"
"You've done all these terrible things, you old man, why do you have to drag us down with you?"
Listening to the woman's words, Joseph knew who she was.
She was his aunt, Jinx, Kerry's wife.
Although Joseph had been away from their family for six years, he could never forget Jinx's voice and her malicious manner.
Joseph's anger instantly flared, and he pushed the door open just in time to see Jinx throw a cup of water in his grandfather's face!
At that moment, his grandfather looked utterly devastated.
He had dedicated so much to this family over the years, and he didn't complain, but now he was hospitalized for his injuries and still being bullied by his daughter-in-law... For him, living felt worse than dying!
Suddenly, Joseph charged in, catching everyone off guard.
"You crazy woman! What on earth are you doing?"
Joseph's roar startled the two in the room.
Jinx jumped, quickly putting the glass down.
"Who are you? Why are you here?"
Joseph, wearing a mask, was unrecognizable to anyone.
He was furious, and in one swift motion, he crossed the room and delivered a powerful slap to Jinx.
"You vile woman, bullying an elderly man like that!"
Tears immediately welled up in Jinx's eyes.
She had grown up with a silver spoon in her mouth, never having been insulted like this!
She reached out to grab Joseph, intending to fight back.
But Joseph wasn't about to give her the chance.
He kicked Jinx's arm away, then stomped on it twice.
"You wretched woman! Today you'll learn what happens when you cross me!"
Seeing Joseph lose his temper, Jinx was terrified.
She didn't expect Joseph to give her no opportunity to explain.
After kicking her away, Joseph loomed over her, looking down at her.
"I despise people who disrespect the elderly. If I see this again, I'll kill you!"
Even with the mask on, Joseph's cold gaze left Jinx stunned.
"What... what do you want to do?"
Joseph ignored her question and pulled out a dagger from his coat, stabbing it into Jinx's other arm.
"Aaah!"
"Aaah!"
Jinx screamed in pain.
Joseph showed no intention of stopping, stabbing again.
"You maniac! You devil! Pull the knife out now!"
"Pull the knife out? Why? To hand you over to the police?"
Joseph snorted.
Jinx was shocked.
"You... you're going to kill me?"
Joseph laughed.
"Why would I waste the pleasure of killing you? I want you to live in agony!"
After speaking, Joseph pulled the dagger out.
Blood gushed out immediately.
"Help me!"
Jinx shrieked.
"Please, I'm wrong... I'll never dare again..."
"You devil..."
Jinx sobbed.
"A devil? I am no devil."
Joseph chuckled.
To him, no matter how strong these people became, no matter how much wealth they accumulated, they were nothing but ants.
Joseph smirked at Jinx.
"Now that you're scared, why don't you hurry up and get out of here?"
Hearing Joseph's words, Jinx nodded fearfully and scrambled to leave.
After the room quieted down, Joseph approached his grandfather's bed.
Joseph frowned.
"I'm sorry, Grandpa, did I scare you?"
His grandfather quickly waved his hand.
"No, no, thank you, really, thank you, young man."
