Chapter 128: Meeting Her Brother
Nami, who had already blocked Kerry's number, never expected to hear from him again. Kerry's actions were driven by his desire to lure Nami out.
Jonard, now barely able to speak, was lying helplessly on the ground as Kerry approached him and took his phone.
“I’ll call her for you.”
With that, he dialed Nami's number.
“Hello, Nami? Guess who this is?”
Hearing Kerry’s voice coming from her grandfather’s phone, Nami froze in shock.
“Kerry, what are you doing? Don’t move! What do you mean?”
“I mean your grandfather has been in a car accident. If you don’t come quickly, you might not see him alive again.”
Nami was furious. Seeing the photo of her injured grandfather, she knew this was Kerry’s doing.
“Where is he?!”
“Get him to a hospital now!” Nami pleaded.
Kerry chuckled coldly.
“If you spend the night with me at the hotel, I’ll tell you where he is. Not only that, but I'll make sure he gets to a hospital. How does that sound?”
Nami was on the verge of breaking down. Hearing Kerry’s proposition filled her with despair and helplessness.
But she quickly composed herself, realizing she couldn't let Kerry get his way.
“You’re shameless!”
Kerry, instead of getting angry, became even more excited.
“Hehe, if I knew you were this cute, I wouldn't have wasted time. Cheer up, Nami, I was just kidding. Here's the address.”
After giving her the address, he handed the phone to Syndra and sent another message from his own phone.
The onlookers knew Jonard was in a dire situation but were too afraid to intervene.
Nami clutched the address tightly and decided to find her grandfather at all costs.
With determination, she pushed through the crowd and rushed to the location.
As she drove, she was resolute in finding the truth and making Kerry pay for his actions.
Using the skills she learned from Joseph, she remained alert, prepared for any danger.
Meanwhile, Jonard was deeply worried. He had wanted to call his granddaughter to warn her not to come, knowing it wouldn’t be safe.
On her way, Nami was suddenly cut off by another car.
“Who are you? What do you...”
Before she could react, someone grabbed her from behind, covering her mouth and dragging her into another car.
Nami tried to struggle but was overpowered.
Inside an abandoned warehouse, Nami was thrown to the ground. She looked up to see several strangers.
“Who are you? Why did you capture me?”
One of them stepped forward and coldly said.
“We were hired to bring you in.”
Nami’s heart sank, realizing Kerry was behind this.
She noticed something peculiar about these people—they didn’t seem entirely human.
Are they also high-ranking individuals? Nami wondered.
She decided to bide her time and look for an opportunity to escape.
Knowing they weren’t ordinary people, Nami understood that their abilities far surpassed hers.
Taking a deep breath, she spoke.
“Can you give me a chance? I don’t want to die.”
Her captors showed no mercy.
“You’re in this mess because of the despicable things you and your people have done.”
Suddenly, a mysterious man approached from a distance.
The captors were puzzled.
“Who are you?”
The man, disguised as Joseph, approached them.
“Who do you think I am?”
Joseph didn’t expect to see his sister here.
After being away for so long, he missed her dearly. To find her in such circumstances was unexpected.
Hearing Joseph’s voice, Nami, unaware he was her brother, pleaded for help.
“Please help me!”
Joseph didn’t hesitate. He rushed towards one of the captors and delivered a powerful punch, shattering the man’s skull.
Without stopping, he attacked the next one.
Seeing this, the other captors surrounded Joseph.
Joseph skillfully dodged their attacks, using his unique techniques to overpower them quickly.
After defeating them, Joseph turned to Nami with concern.
“Are you okay?”
Nami stared at him in shock, a hint of recognition in her eyes.
Joseph’s fighting style reminded her of her brother, but she shook her head.
Impossible.
Nami, filled with gratitude, said.
“Thank you! Can you take me somewhere? My grandfather was hit by a car. If we don’t hurry, he’ll be in danger!”
Joseph nodded.
He couldn’t believe his grandfather was injured.
Quickly, they drove to the location.
Seeing his grandfather lying on the ground, injured, Joseph was filled with rage.
Even without much thought, it was clear to him that this was no accident.
Had Kerry still been there, Joseph would have ensured he paid with his life.
