Chapter 1169
At the mountain's peak, the battle raged on.
Wyatt grew more astonished with every clash. Zarian might have looked a little goofy, but its strength was no joke. It had been holding back earlier—its true combat power was terrifying.
As the fight intensified, Zarian unleashed its full potential. Its golden light transformed into raging flames, burning with an intensity that made the air around it sizzle.
This wasn't just raw strength. It was a supernatural ability. Zarian had mastered a technique that allowed it to manipulate fire, and the flames it wielded could scorch the heavens.
Zarian threw everything it had into the fight. Waves of fiery energy, as tall as fifteen feet, crashed forward like a burning tidal wave.
"This beast is insane!"
The spectators hiding at the edges of the battlefield could only gape in awe. The sheer force of the battle was overwhelming.
Wyatt, however, remained calm. His dragon's true energy shielded him as he countered the fiery waves with his Golden Crescent. Each wave he cut through brought him closer to the cub.
The two clashed repeatedly, their attacks leaving the battlefield in ruins. The once-majestic mountain peak was now a sea of flames and devastation. Zarian's fiery aura grew more ferocious, forming dozens of waves that crashed down one after another.
Zarian's eyes gleamed with determination. This wasn't just fire—it had fused a trace of Sun Essence into its flames, making them capable of burning almost anything. It refused to believe its opponent could survive such an onslaught.
Standing atop a massive crimson wave, the cub seemed like a deity of fire, looking down at Wyatt with contempt as it launched its next attack.
Flames roared and swirled, blanketing the battlefield. But Wyatt stood firm, his body glowing with boundless energy as he surged forward, cutting through the flames.
Unwilling to prolong the fight, Wyatt unleashed a devastating attack that scattered the fiery waves. Leaping into the air, he closed the distance between himself and the cub.
The spectators watching from afar were completely stunned. Their jaws dropped as they witnessed the scale of destruction. The entire battlefield was ablaze, resembling the end of the world.
Finally, Wyatt pulled out the celestial lion's leg bone. Seizing the moment when Zarian let its guard down, he swung it with all his might, landing a clean blow to its head.
Zarian's eyes rolled back as it collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
"Wow," Wyatt muttered, staring at the leg bone in his hand. "This thing is amazing. It's tough, powerful, and still carries a trace of divine energy. Perfect for knocking out stubborn beasts."
He grinned, his gaze shifting to the motionless cub sprawled on the ground, twitching and drooling. Its golden fur was singed, and its limbs spasmed weakly.
Wyatt rushed over, his eyes gleaming with excitement. He finally had his prize. His mind raced with thoughts of roasting and feasting.
Zarian, barely conscious but still aware of its fate, shuddered at the sight of Wyatt's manic grin.
"Just kill me and get it over with," the cub groaned, its voice trembling. "Anything's better than this nightmare."
"I'm gonna keep you alive so it's fresh!" Wyatt said, licking his lips.
"Monster!" Zarian wailed.
"Honestly, I've just been thinking about eating you..." Wyatt admitted.
"Wait—you mean you just want to eat me?" The cub's voice cracked. "Oh, thank heavens... I thought you were some kind of... pervert."
But the realization brought little comfort. Being eaten wasn't much better. Its golden fur bristled as it pleaded, "Don't eat me! I know secrets—secrets you'll want to hear! Like the truth about Tamara!"
Wyatt froze in his tracks, his interest piqued. "Tamara? Spill it."
"She's not what you think! That sly fox is a native of this Land of Blessings!"
"What?" Wyatt's jaw dropped. "Say that again!"
"I don't repeat myself," the cub said smugly, despite its dire situation.
Wyatt's palm landed on Zarian with a resounding crack, sending it flying across the ground.
"Don't you know where you stand!" Wyatt growled, his hand glowing with energy. His strike was powerful enough to shatter stone, yet the cub's tough hide absorbed most of the blow.
The cub roared in defiance, leaping to its feet and charging at Wyatt with a vengeance.
"Are you still not giving up?" Wyatt swung the celestial lion leg bone again, knocking the cub out for the second time. This time, he climbed on top of it, grabbed its ears, and started pummeling.
His fists rained down like a storm, each punch packed with crushing energy. The cub twitched, groaned, and finally played dead, its mouth dripping blood.
"Have you had enough? Now tell me everything about Tamara," Wyatt demanded, his voice cold.
Zarian coughed weakly, too battered to resist.
"Tamara... she really is a native. That explains everything," Wyatt murmured, his mind racing. The revelation made too much sense—it explained her knowledge, her cunning, and her influence over the creatures of the realm.
For the first time, Wyatt felt like he was finally piecing together the puzzle.
