Chapter 26: Forcious Beasts
My heart was pounding in my chest. Why did Krell hug me in his arms without asking for my permission? Everyone was watching us.
"Mia, choose me." Krell pressed his lips close to my ear. He spoke so softly that only I could hear him.
He even licked my earlobe, which made my breath catch in my chest and my face turn scarlet.
The tip of Krell's tongue left my earlobe after that quick lick. He didn't do anything else, but I felt as if my earlobe was on fire.
"That's not fair," I whispered, hooking Krell's pinky finger with my own
However, Krell did not seem to think much of it. He just squeezed my palm teasingly.
"Krell, let go of Mia!" Locas glared at Krell and pulled me away from Krell.
Locas pulled so hard that I lost my balance for a moment and fell awkwardly into Locas's arms.
Well, Locas was wearing a men's fragrance, which smelt as elegant and noble as Locas himself. The scent engulfed me, momentarily taking over my senses.
Krell looked at Locas coldly. He seemed to be ready to fight with Locas right then and there.
"What is wrong with you? Why did you do that?" Krell asked coldly.
"Mia leaned into me herself. I didn't expect her to be so eager." Locas spread his hands and placed his right hand on my shoulder. He rubbed my smooth shoulder with his palm.
Simon, who had always been good-tempered, suddenly shouted, "Enough! This is madness! Since you're all cheating, I'm not gonna follow the rules either." Simon suddenly took my hand and dragged me into his arms. He was completely different from his usual gentle self. It reminded me of the day in the Luna Building when he told me his feelings.
Willard lowered his head and whispered, "I'm the one who has always supported Mia." His voice was extremely wounded, which made my heart soften.
Yeah, it was Willard who stayed with me when I was at my saddest.
But Krell, Locas, and Simon were also very good to me. They had all helped me.
I was in a dilemma. I felt like I was a piece of silk being pulled in different directions by each of them and was about to break into pieces. However, I couldn't choose any of them. afraid that I'd be torn apart.
"Why don't we all just go together?" Willard suddenly looked up and smiled at me. My heart fluttered to realize that he had suggested the perfect solution.
However, his smile seemed a little bitter, like a kindergarten kid who had to share his toys with others to please the adults. His expression made me feel really sad and kind of guilty.
But I had to admit that Willard's suggestion was indeed the most suitable.
"Let's go together. Stop arguing. Let's leave as soon as possible." I agreed out loud to Willard's suggestion.

After gathering food and supplies, we set off that same day. I had no idea what awaited us. We encountered many difficulties along the way. Venomous snakes, ferocious beasts, storms and swamps.
But nothing compared to the dangerous beasts in front of us now.
The wind howled, blew up leaves and dust and brought them among the stone tablets surrounding us. It was like the sound of a horn calling forth warriors to boost their strength and morale.
Four giant wolves with shiny fur that swayed in the wind stood in front guarding me from the ferocious beasts that stood opposite them. The four giant wolves were covered in short fur of different colors. Their teeth were sharp and slender. It looked like they could pierce through skin as if it were butter.
I stood behind the giant wolves that Krell, Simon, Locas, and Willard had transformed into. I frowned. I wanted to transform into my wolf form and fight alongside them, but they said that they wanted to keep me safe to heal them from any injuries.
I was extremely worried. There were at least fifty vicious snarling creatures facing them. I feared that they wouldn't be able to win against them.
The ferocious beasts opened their mouths and roared angrily. The sound shook the surrounding leaves and even almost cracked the stone tablet.
Willard, the gray wolf, was the first to attack. He rushed into the group of monsters and took down two of them. At the same time, he skillfully slapped one beast with his tail and knocked it down on another.
Krell, a silver wolf, also rushed over with a ball of blue flames in his mouth. He opened his mouth and the ball of flames flew towards the swarming monsters, instantly scattering a row of them to the side.
Locas and Simon, a black and a white wolf, guarded me one after another, blocking the beasts that were coming my way and attacking me.
I watched as the giant wolves and beasts flashed past my eyes like shadows. For a moment, I was dazzled by each of the wolves as they fought. They were indeed the elites and leaders of their packs. They were actually so powerful that they each fought with ten beasts on their own.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang in the distance. I turned around and saw a monster standing beside our black SUV with a huge package in its mouth.
I looked at the package in the beast's mouth and was shocked. It was eating our luggage and supplies!
I could not let it ruin our supplies. Without a thought in my head, I transformed into a huge snow-white wolf, leaving the protection of Locas and Simon to reach that ferocious beast.
I heard Locas and Simon roar in unison. I knew that they were really worried about me.
I confronted the beast, staring at it through the wrecked car.
I opened my mouth and showed my fangs to the beast, wanting to scare it away because I knew that my combat strength was nowhere near strong enough, and I was far from able to defeat it.
The beast wasn't fooled. It jumped onto the SUV and raised its front paws, ready to take me down.
I deftly dodged its attack and bit the package in its mouth. I pulled with almost all my strength, but it didn't move.
The beast was angered by my actions and became even more irritated. It forcefully pulled the package to the side. I lost my grip and was flung through the air.
"Mia!" Simon shifted to human form and shouted.
I was slammed to the ground. It hurt so much! It also caused a big noise, which attracted the attention of the other four.
The beast was about to swing the package again, but I immediately recovered from the pain. I stretched out my front claws and swiped at the package. With a ripping sound, the package split open.
Most of the supplies were now in my mouth. There was only a piece of cloth left in the beast's mouth.
It worked!
I was overjoyed and waved the supplies in my mouth at the other four.
"Mia, watch your back!" Simon shouted to me again.
I quickly turned around and saw the bloody mouth of that ferocious beast.
I suddenly dodged to the right, but it was already too late. My front leg was cut by the beast's fangs, and blood flowed out uncontrollably.
"Mia, hurry!" Locas shifted this time and shouted before he and Simon shifted back into wolves to fight the beasts.
The four of them were tied up by the fight and couldn't get to me.
As long as I could bring the supplies back to Locas and Simon, I would be safe.
I fought through the pain and ran toward Locas.
I was getting closer and closer to Locas. I just needed to be a little closer to guarantee the safety of the supplies.
When I was just one step away from reaching Locas, I felt something undercut my hind leg. The beast caught me.
I tried my best to break free, but my leg felt like it was tied to an immovable cinder block. I couldn't move no matter how hard I tried.
I looked behind me. The beast had reached me. It opened its mouth wide, and I knew that if it bit down, I would lose both of my legs.
I was desperate. What could I do? I did not have the strength to kick away the beast.
Suddenly, a silver wolf charged at the ferocious beast and knocked it away.
Krell saved me.
With my legs free, I quickly ran into Locas and Simon.
Everyone once again fought in their original formation. During this period, Locas was hit in the shoulder by a large claw. It was obvious that this made him weaker than before.
I looked at Locas's body which was weakened because of his injuries and got really worried. I wanted to heal him.
Finally, all of the ferocious beasts were all killed by us. Their corpses turned into black dust and scattered in the air, as if they had never been here.
We all transformed back to human form.
"Locas, come here." I waved at Locas. I wanted to heal him.
"I don't think so. You're also weak now." Locas frowned at my bleeding arm.
However, I didn't listen to him. While he wasn't looking at me, I generated a ball of white light in my hand and placed my hand on his shoulder.
Locas did not resist anymore, because if he did, it would only consume more of our physical strength.
Fortunately, Locas only suffered some minor injuries. I could heal him in a short time.
I looked at Locas's fully-recovered shoulder and smiled happily, but then I suddenly felt dizzy. It was probably because I was physically weak. After that, I fell into Locas's arms.
