"Hahahaha! Excellent, excellent, excellent—it feels wonderful."
Andrew Donovan's face lit with delight as he turned to Bernard Jacobson. "My daughter's been spoiled by her mother since she was little. Please don't hold it against her."
"Yes, yes. She's still young and doesn't know any better. Mr. Jacobson, I hope you won't take it to heart."
Shirley, fully aware of Bernard Jacobson's standing, dared not call him by name. Instead, she addressed him respectfully as Mr. Jacobson.

A faint smile softened Bernard's otherwise stern features. "The doctor says Mr. Miller's vitals are stable. He can be discharged tomorrow."

Shirley's gratitude ran deep. She quickly reminded Vivian, "We owe Mr. Jacobson a tremendous debt. You must invite him to dinner tonight. Do you hear me?"
