Chapter 4283
“Okay. Go change your clothes. I’ll pack your bag.”
It was not Phillip’s first time packing Louis’s bag for him.
While Louis was changing his clothes and washing up, Phillip entered his study and placed the books on the desk into a bag.
He also ensured Louis had his student card before exiting the study with the bag on his back.
Louis had also finished changing.
“I’ll head downstairs first, Louis. I’ll bring your bag down too.”
“Okay.”
Phillip went downstairs but did not see Aunt Delphine.
He thought she had gone out.
After putting the bag down, he ran to the kitchen. He smelled a delicious aroma and wanted to see if breakfast was ready.
“Something smells good, Austin. Is breakfast ready? I want to… Oh, you’re here, Aunt Delphine.”
Phillip, who had barged into the kitchen, saw his aunt watching Austin from behind in silence.
Delphine asked her nephew calmly, “Has Louis woken up?”
“I woke him. He’s still washing up. Are you learning how to cook from Austin, Aunt Delphine?” Phillip asked boldly.
Everything Austin made was tasty. It was totally normal for Aunt Delphine to want to learn a thing or two from him.
Even his mother said she wanted to learn from Austin and cook breakfast for him every morning. That way, he would not have to come to Aunt Delphine’s place daily just for breakfast.
Nevertheless, Phillip knew his mother was all talk and no action. Whenever he woke her up to come over to learn from Austin, she would refuse to get out of bed.
She preferred getting beauty sleep.
Well, that was how realistic her love was.
It would come and go unpredictably.
“Yeah. I want to learn cooking from Austin,” replied Delphine casually.
She and Austin’s conversation had stopped the moment Phillip entered. She left the kitchen with Phillip.
“Where’s Isabella?” Delphine asked gently.
Phillip answered, “Didn’t I say she went for her morning run?”
He raised his head and met Delphine’s gaze with wide eyes. He asked innocently, “Is there something on your mind, Aunt Delphine?”
Delphine was stunned. She patted his head and smiled. “Can you tell that there’s something on my mind?”
“No.”
“Then why would you ask me that question?”
Phillip was honest. “You never wake up early, but you did today with dark circles under your eyes. It means you didn’t sleep well and are worried about something.”
He was pretty sensible.
Delphine touched Phillip’s head again. She said, “You’re right. I didn’t have a good rest last night.”
“You can share your worries with me, Aunt Delphine. Tati always says that it’s better to get it off your chest. It’ll make you feel better.
“We have many people in our family. You can just share your worries freely. I’m sure there’ll be someone who can help you.”
Delphine laughed. “Your suggestion isn’t bad, Phillip. I’ll look for your mom later and share what’s on my mind with her.”
She was close to her sisters-in-law. They would always try to help and find a solution to her problems whenever she consulted them.
Her concerns were related to Isabella’s marriage and the O’Connor family. She would discuss them with her sisters-in-law and see what they had to say.
“My mom usually wakes up after ten, Aunt Delphine. It’s still early now. Why don’t you go upstairs and sleep some more or go outside for a walk and breathe in some fresh air?
“But you need to put on thicker clothes. It’s cold outside.”
Delphine smiled and said, “I’m scared of the cold, so I won’t go for a walk. I’ll go upstairs and get more sleep. You and Louis should head to school after having breakfast, okay?
“Study well. Don’t be naughty.”
