When Evelyn walked out of the lounge with her grandfather Charles, the banquet hall was already buzzing with guests.
She glanced around, trying to spot Julian.
"What are you looking for?" Charles asked, frowning at his granddaughter. "You're grown, not a toddler. What, scared someone's gonna eat you?"
He clearly knew she was searching for Julian and wasn't thrilled about it.
Evelyn looked at him helplessly, not even getting a chance to respond before he added firmly, "You're staying by my side tonight, no running around."
"Alright," Evelyn replied with a soft smile.
But she clearly wasn't focused—probably because she hadn't seen Julian anywhere.
Charles gently held her hand and led her towards the Marson family with a beaming smile.
