Julian Everett’s deep voice echoed from the doorway.
In his hand was a sleek, white phone—same model as his black one, but this was clearly for Evelyn.
He hadn’t even stepped all the way in before spotting Rebecca Moore standing frozen there, head down, quietly crying.
Evelyn was sitting just in front of her, completely ignoring her, eyes on her own phone.
When Rebecca heard Julian’s voice, she flinched. The quiet sobs became more audible, like she was trying hard to look pitiful—like Evelyn had bullied her or something.
Julian frowned slightly at the scene.
Evelyn noticed it too, her gaze turning colder.
“Babe, your phone.” Julian looked away from Rebecca and turned to Evelyn.
He walked over to her, handing her the phone. “Same password as mine.”
Evelyn glanced at the identical model, and a smile tugged at her lips. “Thanks, honey.”
She took it, unlocked it, and started setting it up.
Since it was a new device, most of the apps needed to be logged into again.
