Chapter 441
The next morning.
When Evelyn Knight opened her eyes again, Julian Everett was nowhere to be found beside her.
Her eyelids felt heavy, and she was still completely drained.
Last night’s dreams had been a chaotic mix of random nonsense—none of it made sense, but some parts felt oddly real.
Now that she was awake, though, she couldn’t recall a single detail of what she'd actually dreamed.
"Ugh..." she groaned, lazily stretching out across the bed.
She felt even more tired than on nights she stayed up late binge-watching shows.
Hugging the pillow, she closed her eyes for just a few more seconds. After zoning out for a bit, she finally dragged herself out of bed.
She freshened up, changed in the dressing room, then grabbed her phone and headed downstairs.
Right as she came down, she bumped into Julian and Charles Knight, who were just getting back from their morning walk.
"Morning, Grandpa," Evelyn smiled and greeted Charles.
Charles gave her a look and said, "Morning? It’s already eight.
