Julian had just stepped out of the hospital when his phone buzzed—it was Victor. "Where the hell are you?" Victor's voice came through, annoyed and impatient. He'd been yanked out of bed early in the morning by a single call from Julian to go catch someone. Two hours later, still no sign of him. No message, no call—like he vanished into thin air. At one point, Victor seriously started suspecting if Julian had blocked his number. Well, bingo. Julian glanced at the number he'd just removed from his block list and chuckled. "I'm on my way. Send me the location." He'd found out last night that Danielle had reached out to Nathaniel, cooking up something nasty aimed at Evelyn. If Alexandra hadn't been rushed to the hospital, and Evelyn hadn't been worried sick about her, Julian would've taken action already.
