Julian stepped out of the bar, his face still icy cold. Sitting in the car, he rolled the window down and lit a cigarette in silence. One hand spun his phone idly. His expression, unreadable and shadowy, faded into the dark night. The phone buzzed. He inhaled sharply, opened the anonymous message: Ravenshade Road apartment. It was from the people he'd sent to keep tabs on Danielle's whereabouts tonight. Julian looked at the text, and the corner of his lips curled into a cold smirk. He flicked the cigarette away, started the car, and drove off toward Ravenshade Road.
