Chapter 11
Several photos accompanied the report, all showing Evelyn in her torn wedding gown from the day before, looking completely disheveled.
The rips in the dress were obvious, even to the naked eye, and the bruises and marks on her body were hard to ignore.
But curiously, her face in all the pictures was heavily blurred.
Evelyn kept scrolling through them, keeping an eye on the trending page.
At 7:30 a.m., Georgeand Amelia came downstairs to find her already at the dining table, calmly eating breakfast.
As soon as George saw her, his face instantly darkened.
Evelyn glanced up at him, then looked away like he wasn't worth her time.
Not liking the cold shoulder, George's expression sank deeper. "You see people and don't even say hello? Where are your manners?"
"Didn't notice anyone worth greeting," Evelyn raised a brow, obviously throwing shade.
George's temper flared, and he slammed his hand on the table. "Evelyn—"
