Chapter 94

Matt really thought that it would have been better if she refused the ride. It would mean that she was still thinking about him and what happened between them. He wanted to say something but he did not know what he was supposed to say. In the end, he shut his mouth and drove started driving. Rose suddenly thought of something really important. He doesn't know where she lives right? It won't be too much of trouble for him right? "You don't know where I live right? Why don't you just drop me off at the bus stop if it's too much trouble for you?" Rose asked. Matt turned to look at her face. she was staring at him with the same indifference. She wasn't bothered much about him. She just did not want to make things hard for him. "It's nothing. It's not as if we don't know each other. I can drop you off at home" Matt said he was trying to act close with her. But Rose wasn't buying it at all. "I think it's going to be too much trouble for you. Just drop me off at tht bus stop" Rose said looking out of the car. She was really regretting it. What was she thinking getting into his car? Rose really thought that she would be able to treat him indifferently as if nothing happened between them but she soon found out that she was wrong. There was no way that she could do it Especially when she kept feeling his hot gaze on her. She felt as if a thousand ants were crawling under her skin. She was trying her best to make sure that her facade did not fall off but she knew that she was going to give herself away if she did not get off this car anytime soon. Suddenly, Matt stepped on the brake and brought the car to a stop. Rose looked outside. They weren't at the bus stop yet. What is wrong with this man? What is he trying to do? "What are you doing?" Rose asked him. "Are you trying to avoid me?" Matt asked her. Rose almost choked on her spit. She is trying to avoid him? Why would she get into his car if she was trying to do that? What kind of a logic was that? She wasn't trying to avoid him at all! What is he talking about? Well, she did think that she would be able to treat him indifferently. Turns out that she had over estimated herself on this. "What are you talking about Director?" Rose asked. She kept pretending to be indifferent. "What am I talking about? This is exactly what I'm talking about. Why do you keep calling me director?" Matt asked. For some reason, he really did not like those words coming from her mouth. Rose blinked. Of course she was going to call him Director. What else would she call him if not director? "Of course I'm going to call you Director. You are my superior after all" Rose said. Matt looked at her, trying to figure out what this woman was thinking in her head. Is she pretending to be dumb? But that innocent look on her face told him otherwise. When this woman was involved, he really did not know what he was supposed to think at all. "Is it too much trouble to take me to my place? Just drop me off at the bus stop. I can get home from there" Rose said. She would accept his favour but that did not mean that she was going to beg him at all! Rose removed her seat belt and tried to open the car door but Matt reached over and slammed the door shut, trapping her in the car so that she could not leave. Rose blinked her eyes again. She was really shocked. What is this person trying to do now? What games does he wants to play with her? "Why....why are you trying to distant yourself from me?" Matt finally asked the question that has been tormenting him all day. Rose gulped. It seemed that there was no way that she could avoid this situation in the end. "I'm distancing myself from you? Were we close to begin with?" Rose asked. Matt "....." He really did not have anything to say because she was right. It wasn't as if they were close to begin with. The both of them met because of an unfortunate incident twice and the second time, he asked her out, blowing all chances that he had with her. But Matt could still tell that there was something wrong with the way that she was treating him right now. Before, she tried to avoid him, but she wasn't this cold and indifferent to him. Are we really not close? I like you. Even though we can't be considered "close", there is no reason for you to be so indifferent to me right?" Matt asked. When dealing with women like Rose, he knew that he had to be shameless or else she was going to slip out of his hands. Rose felt her face heating up when he mentioned that. She did not really think that he was going to bring that up. "You....." It was Rose's turn to be speechless. "What me? What happened to me? Didn't I make it clear last time that I like you?" Matt asked her. In the end, Rose hardened her expression and looked outside the car. "Don't joke around" She said. "Who said that I'm joking around? I already said that I like you, why can't you believe me?" Matt asked her. Even though she already said a lot last time, he just wasn't willing to accept that reason. "Because someone like you doesn't know what it means to like someone" Rose said. She knew that if she did not put an end to this conversation, Matt won't let her leave. She knew that this person could be completely shameless when he wanted to. She wasn't a match for him at all. Matt chuckled to himself. It was still the same story again. "How do you know that? How do you know that I don't know how to like someone? Even if I don't know how to like someone, I'm willing to learn because of you!" Matt said. Rose's heart skipped a beat when she heard that. He said that he was willing to learn what it meant to like someone because of her. It really was a sweet feeling. But...is this real? Rose did not want to give herself away and and end up having to suffer a bad deal in the end. She was scared. She was too scared to give herself away to this person like this. Who knew if she would be able to do it. Matt looked at Rose's face and the hesitation that was evident on her face and he could tell what she was thinking at one glace. In fact, the other day when he kissed her in the office, he had already figured out that she did like him too. It turns out that her body was more honest than her mouth. The best way to deal with such a dishonest person was..... Matt inched closer to her and held her chin, forcing her to look at his face. "Hey, what are you doing?!" Rose yelled. What kind of gangster was this? Just that day in his office he had kissed her and now he was still here trying to play gangster with her? What kind of person acts like this? Matt did not answer her question. Instead, his lips came crashing down on hers like waves. He did not want to continue to waste words with this woman. He knew that she was just found to do everything to deny the feelings that she had did him. Since she likes playing these kinds of games, he should play along with her right? He will make her admit what she really feels! Rose froze when Matt kissed her. She had to give it to this person. He really is a shameless gangster. He did not think about where he was. All that he thought about was taking advantage of her wherever they were at. She should have known better than to get into the car of this person. "Matt....." Rose tried to stop him from kissing her but this opportunity was exactly what the man was waiting for. He seized the opportunity and entered her mouth. He was sucking on her tounge For the first few seconds, Rose was stiff, trying to find the best way to react to what was going on right now but in the end, she started to lose her preseverance. In the end, she started to kiss him back. It seemed that she had abandoned all the hesitations that she had all for the sake of this kiss. And threw her hands around his neck and hugged him tightly. Matt's lips curled up in a sinister smile from an angle that she could not see. He knew that this woman was just struggling to put on a strong front in front of him. Her body was as always more honest than her mouth. If she did like him, her body would not react to his touches like this. After what seemed like a century, Matt finally let go of Rose when she could no longer breathe. Her face was red from the embarrassment. Rose really did not know what was wrong with her. She had already told herself that she wasn't going to fall for the lies of this person. But in the end, she had fallen for his kids. She even kissed him back. "You said that we are not close but you are still kissing me back like this....aren't you just going back on your words like this Rose?" Matt asked. Rose "...." She knew that this person certainly wasn't going to let her hear the end of this. She rolled her eyes. She was still thinking of a come back when the man held her hand. "Rose, I've thought about the things that you said to me. You are right. I really don't know what it means to like someone.... but for you, I'm ready to change. I know that I'm not a good person but Rose, I'm really serious about you. Why don't you give me, give us a chance? I know that you like me too. Why do you keep holding back like this?"Matt asked. He was determined to get an answer from this woman today. He wasn't going to let her go if she did not agree to date him! He had already made up his mind. If he did not do things this way, she was going to slip away from him forever. "Matt I..." Rose had already thought about it. She knew that she likes this person. But she was scared. She would not be able to bear it if shs was heart broken. Matt could already tell what this woman was thinking. She did not want to get hurt that was why dbe was putting up a guard against him. "I know Rose. But, you have to trust me. You'll never know if you don't trust me. I'll never do anything to let you down!" Matt said. Rose bowed her head for some time. When she rasied her head, her face was already flushed pink. "You have to remember what you said today! You said that you'll never let me down!" Rose said. She had already made her decision. Matt smiled when he heard that. Ryder was right he just had to be persistent. He could still remember the advice that Ryder gave him. He just had to pester her shamelessly and make sure that he was always by her side to the extent that she will get used to seeing him.
