CHAPTER 90 Mira was meeting with Kate. The both of them were looking at the news. "Do you think that this is going to work? Won't Ryder find out that something is wrong from all of this? What if he figures out something? He has an entertainment Company after all" Mira said. She did not want to make Ryder angry. "Of course it's going to work. Remember, our goal right now is to make Ryder's wife think that there is something going on between the both of you. It'll be easier to break them up this way" Kate said. Once she planted doubts in thier mind, it will be a piece of cake. His so called wife is probably suspecting him because of the pictures today. And if he goes back to confront her, the both of them are probably going to get into an argument. The more the both of them fight, the easier it will be to break them up. The truth was that, Kate did not even care about her son's marriage at all. She did not care who he was married to. If she did not need to us Mira, she would not have gotten involved. She had never cared about him before, how will she start caring about him all of a sudden, it just did not make any sense. "But Ryder won't find out right?" Mira asked. I think that he is probably angry right now and he is going to argue with that wife of his when he gets home" Kate said. "How are you sure about that?" Mira still has her own mis givings. She really did not think that Ryder was easy to fool. In fact, after meeting him twice, she thought that Ryder had changed a lot. He isn't the person that he was five years ago. "Yes of course I'm sure. See, we've already said so many things about that wife of his. He is probably thinking, we don't have any reason to say so bad things about her. Maybe they are right about her, and he'll start suspecting her. And coupled with the pictures that were published today, the both of them are probably going to argue. You are my best friend's daughter. I wasn't even able to see Brenda before she died" Kate said. Mira frowned when she heard her mother's name. She really did not die a natural death. She wanted to ask Mira about it but she did not know where she was going to start from. In the end, she let go of it. She would deal with it slowly. First, she had to talk to her father. She has to find out why he lied and hid the real cause of her death in the first place. "You don't have to worry about anything Mira. If I said that I'm going to help you, then I'm definitely going to do everything in my power to help you" Kate said. "Thanks a lot Kate I..." Mira was going to say something when her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID. It was her dad. "Sorry, it's my dad" Mira said. Kate's ears instantly perked up when she heard that it was Ethan. Ethan was her goal from the beginning. He is the only one who can help her from her dire states. But she did not know what happened between Brenda before she died, but Ethan refused to see her when he found out that she was close to Brenda. In fact, he wasn't seeing anyone who had anything to do with Brenda. It was like he was cutting out all Brenda's contact from his life. Kate had seen family members turn against each other in the dangerous business world so she wasn't too suprised. She just needed to find another way to get to him. And they way was Brenda's daughter Mira. She was the one who can help her. "Don't worry. Take your time Mira" Kate said. Mira left to take the call and her father's yelling voice immediately sounded in her ear immediately. "Mira , what do you think that you are doing right now? Come back home right now!" Ethan yelled. Mira could guess that her father had probably seen the news of her and Ryder so she did not argue. "Alright dad. I'll be home soon" she said. She went back to Kate. "I'm sorry Kate but something came up at home. I have to go back now" *Of course. You can leave" Kate said. Her lips curled up as she watched Mira leave. What an idoit. ..... Ethan was at home looking at the news. He was really angry. He could not believe that his daughter was really going to be the mistress of a man. And the worst part was that it was Scarlet's husband! He was livid! Her mother had stolen a husband and now she wanted to steal a husband too? Is this the mother and daughter trait? How can his daughter do such a shameless thing? He was waiting for Mira to come back now. Mira walked into the house. .She met her father in the living room. He was glaring at her. Kaira scoffed. She really didn't care about this person at all. "Where did you go?" He asked her. "Does that have anything to do with you?" She retorted. "You didn't go to chase after that married man did you?" Ethan asked. "So what if I did?". You are still thinking of getting together with a man who is already married? Are you trying to make yourself a third party?" Ethan asked. "So what? After I get married, no one is going to call me a third party! Didn't you leave your wife for Mom?" You....!" For the first time, Ethan slapped his daughter. Does she wanted to initiate her mother? She had ruined the relationship that he had with his wife, making it impossible for him to ever be together with him in this life. How can Kaira wanted to imitate her mother? "You....!" Ethan was so angry that he wanted to pass out. What did he do to get this daughter? Well, it did seem like he was paying for the mistakes that he made in the past when he was young. "No matter what you think of me Kaira, I definitely won't let my daughter be a third party in someone's marriage! And since your mother is already dead, let's just stop talking about her!" Ethan said. Kaira let out a sarcastic laughter. "It's really amazing. I never knew that you cared about me so much!" Her words were dripping with sarcasm. "Of course I care about you! I'm your father!" Ethan said. Maybe his attitude to her was a bit cold and distant because of her mother, but she is still his daughter! There was nothing that could change that fact. "Care?" Kaira snorted. She did not want to hear anything else that her father wanted to say. Anyway, she did not want to talk to him anymore.. She turned on her heels and stomped off to her room. She isn't the one wrong. She isn't a third party. Ryder loves her a lot. There is no way that she is a third party. She was walking away when Mira stopped. She turned to look at bee father. She was so angry that she had forgotten what she really wanted to ask this man. No matter how much she tried to deny it, she knew deep down in her heart that her father wasn't innocent at all. The fact that he covered up the cause of her mother's death shows that he has something to hide! "Dad....how did mom die?" Mira asked.
