Peter was in his office the next day when he heard someone knocking on his door. "Come in" he said. The person came in. He was surprised to see Kate. Why is she here? "You....Kate....what are you doing here?" Peter finally found some words after the shock wore off from him. It seemed that Kate did not have any intentions of starting the conversation so he had to do it himself. "What? I can't be here?" Kate asked, casting a long glace at him. Peter was stunned. He could not say anything. He really did not know what he was supposed to say to this woman who disappeared from his life ten years ago without as much as a simple explanation. "Besides, if you don't want me to come back you should have changed the lock. Didn't you leave it that way because you were actually hoping for me to come back?" Kate asked. Peter didn't say anything because she was almost right. At first, he didn't change anything about this place because he was actually waiting patiently for her to come back. How can he be married just like this and I didn't even know anything about it? How can my son get married and I as his mother doesn't know anything about it?" Kate asked. Peter now felt that Kate was being truly unreasonable here. Has she never cared about this so called son of hers? Even though this was nothing compared to the things that she did, this petty revenge did make him feel great all the same. Kate stomped her foot on the ground. No matter what, she won't accept that Scarlett woman as he daughter in law! If she does that, what's going to happen to all of her elaborate plans then? What is she going to do then?
