Meeting Matt Again(2) The truth was that Scarlett was better than her in every day. Her acting was only subpar. Because she wanted to beat Scarlett, she did not mind taking advantage of the hidden rule and sleeping with just about anyone to get to where she was She was really mad that Scarlett was able to beat her even after she put in so much "effort"! She did everything that she could to beat Scarlett over the years but she could not do it. She even tried to attack Scarlett's reputation but it was no use. Everyone had always known that Scarlett was arrogant so there was no use to spread rumours about her. She would get out of it easily with her company backing her anyway. Besides, it seemed that Scarlett had kept her private life a secret. She could not find any evidence of Scarlett following the "unspoken rules" or sleeping around to get to where she was today. The worst part was that the both of them came from the same company! It would have been beatable if they did not come from the same company, but they were from the same company. It really was unbearable. She supressed her everywhere. Because Scarlett was more popular, she was always getting all of the company's resources. Sonia really felt that her position in that Company was so serve as a cannon fodder for that Scarlett! But because of her unreasonable jealously, Sonia refused to believe that Scarlett has really relied on her hard work to get to where she was today. She just felt that Scarlett was really good at covering up tracks. The first scandal that Scarlett had was with Ryder and they got married immediately! Anyone who was in the entertainment industry knew what Ryder was like. Sonia really could not understand how Scarlett could charm someone like Ryder into marrying her. From her own, her future was secure. There would be no way for her to surpass Scarlett in the future. She was really angry just thinking about it! Rose had a cold and indifferent look on her face when Sonia and Jenna walked up to her. "Oh, who do we have here? Isn't this Rose? Scarlett's top manager? What are you doing here?" Jenna asked. Her words were full of mocking. She was saying that someone like Rose could not be at such an expensive mall. But the truth was that Rose has earned quite a lot of money from managing Scarlett all these years. "Does your family own this mall? Why can't I be here?" Rose asked. She knew there was no need for her to be polite to such people. They would only ride all over you. The only way was to put them in thier place. "Uh...why don't I see that top star artist of yours?" Sonia asked. There was a lot of undisguised meanness in her voice. Sonia had always had the image of the perfect goodness in everyone's eyes. She would never do anything wrong. She was sure that there was no way that this incident would leak and that was why she dared to be so bold in front of Rose. Rose narrowed her eyes and looked at the woman in front of her. Everyone knew right now that Scarlett was on her "honeymoon" what is she trying to do bringing up Scarlett here? "Of course she isn't here. She's currently on her honeymoon" Jenna said and laughed. Looking at the way the both of them were singing to each other's tune, Rose was really getting a headache. She would not even bother to pay people like these attention because they weren't worth her time at all. Who knew that they did not think of letting her off away and that they were insistent on causing trouble here for her before they left? Sonia had noticed that Rose had her eyes on a dress before they came to her. Because she wanted to compete with Rose and Scarlett for everything, she stretched out her hand to touch the dress. "Rose, are you sure that you can afford this piece? After all, Scarlett is about to retire...you must save up every penny that you have. Who knows when you'll be able to meet an artist who can earn money for you like Scarlett?" Sonia said. Her voice was sickeningly sweet, giving one the impression of a pure white lotus b*tch Her words had several meanings to it. She was saying that Rose was living off Scarlett. Rose couldn't even be bothered to talk to her concerning this. A manager earned money by working with her artist, her manager was doing the same thing, so how could she use something like that to mock her? What Rose could not stand was when she said that Scarlett was going to retire... whoever said that Scarlett was going to retire? "What? Who said that Scarlett is going to retire?" Rose asked. She did not have her indifferent look anymore. Rather she was angry. What kind of rumours are these people spreading? Scarlett retiring? What a joke! "Isn't that true? She even married into a rich family. There is no need for her to waste her time in the entertainment industry. I just feel bad for you Rose. What are you going to do without Scarlett?" Sonia asked, still taunting her. She only dared to run her mouth because she knew that Scarlett wasn't around. She knew that Rose wasn't as sharp tounged as Scarlett and so she could probably win this arguement. "Scarlett won't be retiring. I'd advice you not to spread rumours. It'd be awkward if we got involved in a law suit since we are from the same company" Rose said. She had figured out what was going on here. Sonia had never been able to beat Scarlett and so she was indignant because it that. They probably wanted to use the fact that Scarlett was married and has gone for her honeymoon to affect Scarlett's popularity. If her fans find out that she is retiring, it will be bad for her career. After all, they made it clear that despite the fact that she was married, she won't be retiring. Rose sneered in her mind. These people have it all thought out. They want to take advantage of Scarlett's popularity when she isn't here and push Sonia into the limelight?! What a joke! The easiest way to deal with these people were to shut them up. Did they think that they were pushovers? If they dared to spread rumours, she would definitely slap them with a lawsuit! "Rose...I think that you have lost your touch after having a good time for so long. I'm not the one spreading rumors. How are you going to sue us?" Jenna asked. She wasn't stupid enough to let people know that she and Sonia were the ones spreading the rumours. At most they could hire a bunch of internet warriors to spread the rumour .. It won't have anything to do with Sonia then. She would just be an innocent passer by who was pushed into the lime light because she was always been compared to Scarlett. The entertainment industry was like this. It all depends on luck. And they were young to create this luck for Sonia. Rose chuckled because she already knew what was going in thier minds. Did they really think that those cheap tricks would be enough to defeat her? If she gets defeated because of something like this then she had been a manager for nothing all these years! "Do you really think that these cheap tricks will be enough to defeat me? You had better think again Jenna. Do you really think that you hid it well and I won't be able to find out the internet warriors that you hired? Don't try anything funny or else you are just going to drag your artist down with you. You are relying on her now after all" Rose said. She had never been one to say too many words. She relied on facts and action to slap the other party's face swollen. Jenna and Sonia "....." They didn't think that thier elaborate scheme would have been seen through like this. It seemed that if they really dared to do that, they would be in a lot of trouble. If Rose really sued them, they were clear on who the company is going to support. Scarlett has always been the cash cow of the company and now she was married to Ryder. Even though she was already married and her relationship was announced in such a high profile manner, it did not affect her Popularity at all! She was still as popular as ever! She was even the one who decided thay she wanted a break and went on her honeymoon. What is Sonia thinking?
