Let's Start Over (2) Ryder did not need to turn before he knew that it was Scarlett. He was really happy that she was back. It meant that he did not have to continue dealing with this woman. Scarlett walked up to them completely ignoring Mira who was about to fãint from the embarrassment. "I want to go back to the hotel" Scarlett said. Ryder nodded his head and took her hand. Scarlett's first instinct was to remove her hand from his grip but it was actually so tight that she had to give up the idea. The both of them took a few steps but then Scarlett stoped. She turned to look at Mira. "No matter what you want to do, can't you try not to call me names?" Scarlett asked. She had come when Mira was calling her a flirt and saying that she was flirting with her boyfriend behind Ryder's back. She did not know what they were talking about before she got there but it wasn't all that difficult to tell the woman's intention from the way that she was looking at Ryder. Scarlett did not know how she got blasted when she was just minding her own business. This couple are really birds of a feather. The both of them are well matched. There was no reason for her to feel bad for either party. "You ...did I say something wrong?" Mira asked. She was someone who did not know how to stop even when she met with a dead end. She would keep going on even if it meant that she was going to lose her life! "You didn't say something wrong? You know well , between me and that trash boyfriend of yours..who was flirting with each other. Doesn't your conscience hurt when you accuse me of things that you are doing right now? You clearly already have a boyfriend and yet you are here to flirt with Ryder. You still have the guts to accuse me of those things. Meeting you today, it has really been an eye-opener for me. I had no idea that they people as shameless as you!" Scarlett said. No matter what thier relationship was like, she was Ryder's wife right now! She would never tolerate this kind of behaviour! "You....!" The woman was so embarrassed to the point that she could not speak up. Even though she wasn't going to give up easily, she did not know what else to say to Scarlett in this situation. It seemed that Scarlett won her this round. She had completely embarrassed herself here. Scarlett turned to walk away but then Ryder held her hand. It seemed that he still had something that he wanted to say to Mira. Scarlett rolled her eyes in patience. Ryder was clear that she was telling him that whatever he did had nothing to do with her and that she just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. "Oh, for the record, she isn't my girlfriend" Ryder said. Mira was obviously happy. She isn't his girlfriend? Then what is thier relationship? She has a really big chance? Maybe she is just someone that he hooked up with when he was on a vacation? "She is my wife!" Ryder said shattering all of Mira's fantasies. He did not wait to hear anything more that Mira had to say but they all knew that her expression right now must be terrible. Ryder and Scarlett walked away leaving Mira to deal with the shock of the information that she just found out. Mira was Shocked. She did not expect that the both of them were married. All through the ride, they were quiet. Not saying a single word to each other. Ryder looked at Scarlett's experession. It was calm. Too calm that it was frightening. He would rather have her yell at him and ask him what he was doing with Mira. No matter what his stance was,she was clearly flirting with him and saying bad things about Scarlett in the process. It was enough to make anyone angry right? He really did not know what to say to make Scarlett calm down. When the both of them got back to the hotel, it was already late. Scarlett did not wait for Ryder to park the car. She got up and went to thier room. **** By the time Ryder found a parking space and came back, Scarlett was already done with her shower. Ryder walled to her. She still had that scary clamness on her face. "Are you angry?" He asked her, breaking the silence. Scarlett raised her eyes to look at him as if she could not understand what he was talking. "Angry? Is there a reason for me to be angry with you?" Scarlett asked,as if she could not bothered to say more to him. Ryder sighed. He knew that he was going to have a really hard time with this conversation with Scarlett. "That woman... Mira...I really don't have anything to do with her...I..." Ryder's explanation was cut off. "Wasn't I clear enough to you? I already said besides that Marriage certificate the both of us don't have anything to do with each other. In a short time, it's all going to be over. We just have to put up with it till then. We don't have to get involved in each other's lives in this period of time. I really don't want to have anything to do with you. Can't you understand that?" Scarlett asked him. Ryder looked at her. She looked firm. It didn't seem as if she was saying this because she was angry. No, it seemed really natural coming from her. But Ryder felt that it was exactly what she wanted him to think. He felt that she was pretending. She was angry, and sbe was giving him the indifferent treatment. "Is that so? Is that really want you think Scarlett? Do you think that the both of us don't have anything to do with each other?" He asked in a probing manner. "Or what? Do you really think that we have something to do with each other just because we are married? Don't you think that you are taking this role a little too seriously? Or do you want to win your stupid bet so much that you don't care about doing anything to get your goal? Which one of it is it?" Scarlett asked. No matter how good tempered Ryder was trying to be, he really could not stand her trying to ridicule him like this. "Scarlett!" He shouted her name. "What? What are you shouting at me for? Even though we are not a real couple, we still have the marriage certificate. Didn't we agree that we should stay within the boundaries for the next six months? Didn't we agree that we can't cross the line? What? You can't even wait for six months? You are even messing around with some woman in front of me. What do you really think I am? What do you take me for? Do you think that you can do whatever you want like this?" Scarlett asked him. She was really angry. Ryder had lost his temper a bit when as he listened to Scarlet's words, his anger started to disáppeear and at the end he was even smiling. She said that she did not care but she was clearly upset because of that woman Mira. Does this mean that she is jealous? She must be jealous right? This means that she cares about him in some way right? "You ...are you jealous? Is that why you are so sour?" Ryder asked with a teasing smile on his face. Scarlett "...." What is wrong with this person's focus? When did she say that she was jealous. And how can someone who so angry a minute ago smile so much? Watching him smiling at her, Scarlett's face heat up again. What is wrong with him? Why is he looking at her like that? "Who said that im jealous? I'm not jealous. I'm not Jealous at all " she denied it vehemently. "You are not Jealous? Then why did you mention Mira again? I thought you said that you don't care at all?" Ryder asked her again, he still had the teasing smile on his face. Scarlett glared at him. That woman's name is Mira? So he even knows her name? He knows her name and yet he has the guts to tell her that he doesn't have anything to do with her? Even if he didn't say anything to her and just stood there and watched her flirt with him, the fact that he wasn't doing anything was basically yelling her to continue flirting with him right? Does she think that she is an idioit? And that she is going to believe such cheap lies. "You said that you don't have anything to do with you but your even know her name. The both of you seem to be really close!" Scarlett said. No matter how hard she denied it, there was a lot of sourness in her voice this time. Ryder chucked. Seeing Scarlett this jealous because of him , really put him in a good mood! "And you said that you are not Jealous? If you don't care about what I do with her, then why are you so concerned that I know her name?" Ryder asked. Scarlett "....!!!!" This man, he is definitely doing this on purpose! "I said I don't care and I mean it. I don't care what you do with her! I'm just upset that she has to malign me when she wants to flirt with you! The both of you can flirt with each other all you want but can you please leave me out of it?!" Scarlett asked, she had her "I don't care" expression on again. Ryder was back to being upset. She clearly cares, why is she pretending not to care? Is her pride this important to her? She doesn't even care about anything else and she is ready to suffer because of it. Ryder walked over to her and he was standing in front of her. They were only the distance of a paper between them now. But unlike before, Scarlett did not love away. She thought that if this man really wanted to corner her, there was nothing that she could do then. She would only have to give into him in the end. She wasn't going to waste her energy like that. She only asked, nonchalantly, "What are you doing now?". He asked back raising an eyebrow, "What do you think that I'm going to do?". Then she saw Ryder's lips approaching hers, she did not need to think twice before Knowing that this person was going to kiss her again. She placed her hand on his chest to create some distance between them and to stop him from kissing her. "What do you want to do? I'm telling you don't try any nonsense with me!" Scarlett said. Her face was red. Thinking about how they kissed a few hours ago, she almost wanted to touch her lips. Scarlett shook her head. Is she anticipating his kiss? She shook her head. She must not be weak. No matter what happened, she must not tell for the tricks for this man. She can't let him continue to take advantage of her as he wished! Scarlett thought that all he has been doing since he got here was take advantage of her. How can there be such a shameless person? "Nonsense? How is this nonsense? The both of us are married!"Ryder reminded her. Scarlett really wanted to smack him across his face.
