The Daring Bet(3) "Of course I hate him a lot! Do you think that I agreed to it because I suddenly developed an interest in him?!" Scarlett asked. Just tht thought of that was enough to make her puke. "No...no...of course not! I don't think that! I'm just curious. Why did you agree to get Married? What is fool on?" Rose asked Scarlett asked. "Do you really think that I'm going to let Ryder off after he messed up my life like this?" Rose was stunned for a few seconds before she finally caught on. "Scarlett you..." Scarlett only smiled. Ryder, you had better watch out from now on! "Scarlett, what you are saying is that you wee going to make things difficult for him from now on?" Rose asked to be double sure. "Of course. What did you think that I was going to do? Let him go after he ruined the course of my life like this?" Scarlett asked raising her eye brows. Rose "...." Well, it did make sense. Scarlett is a extremely vengeful person. It did make sense that she would go to all lengths to make the person who ruined her life pay for it. "But, do you think that you'll be able to do it? That Ryder doesn't seem like an easy person at all" Rose said. In fact, she suspected that he was just as vengeful as Scarlett. After all, all of this started because he wanted to take revenge on Scarlett for what she did to him. "Do I look like I can't deal with one such person? I've met all kinds of people and dealing with someone like that won't make a difference to me at all!" Scarlett was very confident. She is definitely going to make things difficult for him from now on. Rose kept quiet. She knew that there was no way that she would be able to talk Scarlett out of this. Anyway, it was her own personal business. As long as it doesn't affect the company and her career anyway then she is fine with it. Talking with Scarlett and trying to talk her out of it was only going to take a toll on her mental health. She really did not want to do it at all. She was just going to ignore her from now on. Scarlett was surfing the internet as Rose drove. All the top news was about how she annouced that she was getting married. Thinking about it yesterday, she was really impulsive. She should not have lose control of herself like that yesterday. She has to get married because of it now. Once she marries that Ryder, she is definitely going to make his life hell! She saw that the company had just released an official message, confirming that it was true that she was getting married. "Look, the company is quick. It already released the news"Scarlett said. Her words were lased with sarcasm. Rose glaced over at it and nodded. "of course. They've been looking for ways to resolve this since yesterday" Rose said. Scarlett clenched her teeth. Just you wait Ryder! She was suddenly looking forward to her married Life. ****** Half a month later Scarlett watched as people walked up to her to offer congratulations. It was mostly colleagues that she had worked with in the entertainment industry. She glaced over at her mother. She was smiling so happily in a corner of the hall. She was the happiest people among everyone here. In fact, Scarlett was sure that she was the only happy person here today. She had finally married Ryder today. She really wanted to yell out in frustration. What the hell is this? Her "marriage" had become some kind of show for people. "Just when is this going to be over?" Scarlett grumbled under her breath. Because he was standing so close to her, Ryder heard her grumbling. "What? Weren't you the one who wanted to get married?" He asked. He was clearly angry too and he was taking it out on her. "Isn't this what you wanted? Getting into my car and then creating a series of events.. I have to admit, your methods are good" Scarlett said. She would never lose in an argument. "You...!" Ryder was so angry. But when he looked around and saw his father glaring at him, he controlled himself and plastered a smile on his face. For the last half a month, he had tried to do all that he could to get out of this marriage but no matter how he tried he could not get out of it. In the end, his father threatened him that he was going to fire him from the company and cut off his funds if he didn't do as he was told! He certainly did not want that to happen go him so he could only grit his teeth and put up with it now. Scarlett....he would definitely show this woman! ******** After the wedding, Scarlett had moved into Ryder's place because Peter said that they were lots of people keeping an eye on them right now and it won't look good if someone found out that they weren't living together. Ryder did not go home immediately. He went to a bar with Matt. The both of them were drinking in a bar "Aren't you going to go home?" Matt asked him. "Go home? So that I can see that woman? No thank you! I don't want to!" Ryder said. He really hated the fact that he would have to live with Scarlett from now on. Before he thought that he would be able to avioid living with her and that they would only be married in name but he found out that he was wrong. The both of them would have to share a house! How annoying was that?! Matt laughed. It had been a long time since he had seen Ryder lose his cool because of someone like this. It really was fun to watch. "Come on now. I don't think it's that bad. Scarlett is pretty. Don't you like pretty women the most? Besides, won't it be great if you can conquer someone like Scarlett?" Matt asked. He would definitely be around to watch this show. "What are you talking about?" Ryder asked. He was starting to get drunk. "Think about it. Why did Scarlett agree to marry you so easily? She's not someone who would compromise so easily. Maybe.. she is interested in you and this is an excuse for you to get closer to you?" Matt asked raising an eyebrow. There was a shrewd smile on his face. He knew that Ryder was drunk and he won't think much about what he said right now. He was probably going to believe it. He would like to see what would happen if Ryder starts thinking that Scarlett has feelings for him. Anyway, it would just him be him getting back at Ryder for making things difficult for him when he caused problems with numerous women. Ryder paused to think about it. Scarlett wasn't someone that would let anyone force her to do what she doesn't want to do. She even annouced that they were getting married because she wanted to get back at him. Could it be that she actually had feelings for him? Is that why she agreed to marry him? Is she pretending not to be interested in him? If that is the case then ..he really had to hand it to Scarlett Ryder had no idea that he had just fallen into a trap. "Do..do you think that she really likes me?" Ryder asked. Matt smiled. It seemed that his plan was working really well. "Well, I can't be sure about that. She may not like you. It's just that....it's weird. Why would Scarlett allow herself to be forced by your dad like this?" Matt asked. He knew that if he said that Scarlett likes him outright, then Ryder would suspect him for sure. He just had to point out the route for Ryder and let him think whatever he want. It would have much more better effects this way. "No....I think that she likes me! That's why she wanted to get married to me! She kept pretending that she really hated me and then she actually tricked me into getting married to her! She really is good! Ah...she could have told me if she likes me...does she have to go through so much scheming" Ryder said. He was starting to feel really good about himself. In fact, besides the fact that she was so arrogant and that she had the ability to make him pass out from anger, she wasn't all that bad at all....as Matt said...she was actually quite pretty. Matt smiled and sipped his beer. He already set the stage. All that he had to do now was sit back and watch the show. "Forget it. I'm going back home now. I don't see why I have to stay away from because of Scarlett. It's my house anyway. She should leave if she feels comfortable" Ryder said. Matt smiled.This isn't what he said at the beginning. He was really looking forward to the next six months and how Scarlett was going to fix Ryder from now on. After all, he did not have to do anything. The only thing that he had to do now was watch the show. "Do you need me to drive you home?" Matt offered, as the good friend that he was. "Don't worry. I'm sure that I can still get myself home. You don't have to worry about me" He said. Matt watched as Ryder made his way out of the bar. His life is going to be interesting from now on. ****** Scarlett looked around the house that she would be living in the next six months. She had to admit, this Ryder knew how to spend the money that his father earned. He really did not hold back at all. Scarlett instantly chose the biggest room in the house. Since she had to compromise and live with him for the next six months then she is definitely going to make herself comfortable. She went into the bathroom. She just wanted to take a bit bath and go to bed now. Tommorow, starting from tommorow, she would officially start torturing Ryder! Thirty minutes later, she was already done. She wore a robe and climbed on the bed. Because she was already tired from all the running around of the day, she fell asleep as soon as she got on the bed. ***** Ryder managed to get home without getting into an accident. He went into his bedroom immediately. He had drunk quite a lot and he could already feel his head starting to hurt. He just wanted to go to sleep right now. He jumped into the bed without noticing that the was someone else already on the bed. He closed his eyes. Maybe because he had gone to bed without taking a shower, he was feeling quite uncomfortable so he kept tossing around the bed. In the end, his stretched out his hand and it landed on something soft. It seemed... that there was someone else on the bed. Ryder was too tired to keep his eyes open at this second. He kept feeling around with his hand. Then finally, he wrapped his hand around the person. Scarlett was already asleep when she felt that someone was touching her. In the end, the person wrapped his hand around her waist. She opened her eyes immediately and threw the hands away from her waist. The person tried to hug her waist again and she threw it off. Then she instantly reached her hand out and turned on the light. "Ryder! What the hell are you doing right now? Are you trying to take advantage of me?!" Scarlett yelled when she saw that the person in the bed was Ryder.
