Chapter 73: One Against Five

Joseph didn't even speak. His subordinates were already unable to contain themselves. They knew that these people were being unreasonable. If Joseph couldn’t regain his dignity, even he wouldn’t be happy. It would mean they were treating Joseph like a fool. However, Joseph indeed had the money. Having money was one thing, but whether or not to accept this silent suffering was another. At this moment, Samael could no longer hold back his temper. He turned to Azazel and said, “Take care of yourself later. Don’t worry about me.” With that, he released a powerful aura, pressing it towards the members of the three families. Sensing Samael’s aggression, Joseph coughed lightly. “That’s enough.” “But—” Samael was still unwilling to back down. They were clearly mocking Mr. Joseph! How could they treat Mr. Joseph like this? Everyone noticed the murderous intent emanating from Samael, but Joseph’s words brought the tension down a notch. Joseph casually snapped his fingers, and all the menacing aura vanished. Joseph spoke calmly, “We’re at home; there’s no need for such actions.” “But…” Samael began. “You’re talking too much,” Joseph interjected. Realizing his mistake, Samael quickly stepped back, nodding. “Yes, my apologies.” Joseph wasn’t particularly angry. He looked at the people before him with a calm demeanor. “I’ve offered 40 billion. Don’t drag this out; that’s my bottom line. If you can’t accept it, then leave. But before you go, remember: you’ve already spent 30 billion. If you agree, you’ll get 40 billion for free. If not, I can’t guarantee what will happen next.” The three family heads immediately reacted with displeasure. “Is that a threat?” “Who do you think you are, threatening us like this?” Joseph stood up, his eyes unwavering as he looked at them. “This is not a threat, but a statement of fact. If you don’t accept the deal, you will face the consequences.” Medrigez stood up angrily. “Who do you think you are to talk to me like that? Stop right there!” Before he could finish, he was silenced by Joseph’s piercing gaze. “What… what do you mean by that look? What do you want?” Medrigez felt humiliated and ordered his men to approach Joseph. But Joseph’s cold stare stopped them in their tracks. “What I want? You don’t even know?” Joseph asked. Medrigez had brought five men with him. Typically, five men against one would be a breeze. But Hecarim was already scared out of his wits. He didn’t know what he was witnessing. Joseph was clearly no ordinary person, but those bodyguards looked dangerous too. If they faced off, he wasn’t sure Joseph would come out on top. Knowing that Samael and the others were also not in the best of moods, Joseph decided to let them handle it. “Samael, you’re upset, right? Take it out on these guys, but don’t kill them.” Hearing this, Medrigez’s men mocked Joseph. “You’re crazy! Do you know who we are? You must be out of your mind!” “You’re making us laugh! Do you really think you can fight us?” The mockery continued, with Medrigez’s men laughing at the very idea. They had guarded presidents before, so how could they be taken down by Joseph’s men? Hank chuckled. “I thought Joseph was someone important. Turns out he’s just a fool.” “Right, he’s a joke! I can’t believe he wants his business center back!” The bodyguards of Florida’s elite often competed with each other, and Medrigez’s guards were known to be the best. To think Joseph’s men could defeat them was laughable. The bodyguards nodded in agreement. “We’re ready to act.” “Yes, boss,” they responded, eager to prove themselves. However, before they could react, Samael rushed forward. With a simple slap, he knocked several of them to the ground. “Ah—!” “What happened?” “They’re spitting blood and their heads are misshapen!” Samael paused, a bit surprised. “I even held back. I didn’t mean to kill you. You’d better take him to the hospital. I promised my brother I wouldn’t kill anyone.” Everyone was stunned. A few more tried to attack, but Samael turned and glared at them. “I told you, my brother doesn’t want me to fight. Why force it?” With a swift move, he struck one of them, sending him flying ten meters. The remaining three charged together but were swiftly kicked away by Samael. The crowd was dumbfounded. Who was this person? Medrigez, Hank, and Tom Cruise all turned to look at Samael, who stared back at them with cold, unblinking eyes.
