Chapter 43: The Death of Lucy’s Grandfather
Giselle and Tonksen exchanged a glance, both understanding that they were now under Joseph's command.
Next, Giselle's men pulled open the sack.
Instantly, a grotesque face emerged from within.
It was none other than the old man they had always wanted Lucy to marry! Takal!
"Is it really him?!"
"How did Joseph know about this?"
"Did Joseph know everything we said?"
"How does he know all this?"
At this moment, Joseph walked up to Takal.
"So you're the one who wanted to marry my woman, Takal, right?"
"I initially thought you were some big shot, but it turns out you're just a nobody!"
"Takal, do you know what your biggest mistake is?"
"It's daring to lay your hands on my woman!"
Takal had already been beaten beyond recognition!
He looked at Joseph with a pained expression.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Joseph, I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not Takal!"
Not Takal?
Joseph gave him a hard slap.
"Are you Takal now?"
Pain and bitterness were evident on Takal’s face.
"Yes, I am Takal. I wronged you and your wife."
Even though he kept begging for mercy, he didn't provide any useful information.
But Joseph didn't need him to say much; acknowledging he was Takal was enough!
"Ha, I thought you would admit your identity, so I could find someone to help you."
"Who knew you'd keep denying it. Fine, since that's the case, I can't help you anymore."
As Joseph said this, Giselle’s men approached.
"Alright, I have no other demands."
"Knowing you’re Takal is enough. Any man who covets my woman must die!"
Hearing this, Takal raised his hands in panic.
"What? No, I didn't! It's not me! It's all Thor! It's Lucy's grandfather who said this!"
Hearing his name, Thor quickly denied it.
"It's not me! It has nothing to do with me!"
"How can you falsely accuse me, Takal?"
A henchman slapped both of them to shut them up.
Joseph gave them a calm glance, "There's no need to speak. I already know everything."
"As for the reason, I will naturally find out myself."
Thor immediately fell into a panic, kneeling and begging for mercy.
"No! I will tell you everything! I’ll tell you everything!"
The once arrogant Thor now looked like a terrified child in front of Joseph!
Even after being slapped, he didn’t dare to act out.
Afraid that Joseph might strike him again!
Thor kept kowtowing to Joseph, expressing his remorse, while Takal was equally cautious.
Joseph was pleased with their behavior.
"Good."
Thor quickly replied.
"Yes, yes, yes!"
"I understand, I understand. Please don’t be angry. I will do whatever you ask!"
"As long as you don’t kill me, I will tell you everything!"
Joseph said indifferently.
"It seems you forgot that I gave you a chance before."
"Unfortunately, you didn’t grasp it."
"Now, you have one last chance to live."
Thor couldn't believe his ears.
"A chance to live?"
"Yes!"
"I can survive?"
Joseph looked at him with a faint smile.
"Of course, if you tell me everything."
He wanted to see if this old man had the guts to spill all the secrets!
"Alright!"
In the next second!
Everyone was stunned.
Thor agreed without hesitation!
"Mr. Joseph, what do you want to ask?"
Joseph looked at him and said calmly.
"Why did you try to marry my woman off to this old man? Do you look down on me?"
What he thought was a lifeline was actually a death trap!
Thor realized that no matter how he answered, it wouldn’t end well!
Any answer would offend Joseph!
"I, I, it wasn't me, it was my son, Fox! And Johnson!"
Thor's sons were shocked.
Even a tiger doesn’t eat its cubs.
But Thor was ready to throw all his sons under the bus!
He had no intention of taking the blame himself!
This man was truly selfish!
Even Jenna thought her grandfather was too heartless this time.
Johnson looked at Thor, his face pale.
"Dad? What are you saying? What does this have to do with me?"
"This was all of us together."
Thor glared at them coldly, a sinister light in his eyes.
He said.
"Since everyone knows about this and was involved, do you think I’d take the fall alone?"
"If I could put you in your current positions, I can take you down!"
Hearing this, they all trembled.
"Dad! Don’t be so cruel!"
"Yes, there are so many people here. If you say this, won’t everyone be disheartened?"
"Just pretend it never happened, okay?"
Hearing this, the others thought these people were talking nonsense.
If it never happened, why bring it up?
If this were a lie, why would they let Thor handle it?
Seeing their panic, Thor turned to Joseph.
"Mr. Joseph, you see? These people want to kill me!"
"So, this wasn't just my doing!"
Even Johnson was terrified.
He thought he was going to get beaten today, but now he was being dragged into it!
Feeling hopeless, he quickly said.
"Mr. Joseph, I was forced into this!"
Listening to this group of backstabbers, Joseph found it amusing.
He knocked on the table lightly and called his men.
"Go, inform everyone that Thor from the Lucy family suddenly died of a stroke. Take him to the hospital, but he couldn’t be saved."
Thor looked at Joseph, realizing everything.
"You, you want to kill me?!"
