Chris rushed at Joseph, but before he could do anything, Joseph slapped him hard, knocking him out next to Sophie. Everyone was stunned. Blood flowed from the unconscious pair. "Do you know who Chris is? If you kill him, you'll be in big trouble! His father is the bully Denton!" People shouted in panic. "Oh, right! I remember now!" Everyone realized Joseph had stirred up big trouble. "What should we do?" "Call the police now!" "Otherwise, when Chris's father arrives, we're done for." They all took out their phones and dialed 911. "Help! Police! There's an assault here!" Joseph remained calm, turning to Lucy. "Let's go. We're heading home." Holding Lucy, he tried to leave, but the crowd blocked their way. Although scared, they couldn't just watch Chris be humiliated. "You think you can just leave?" Chris, regaining consciousness, grabbed his phone. "You hit me, huh? Just wait! I'll call my dad, and you and that bitch are dead meat!"
