Chapter 142: When the Walls Come Tumbling Down

"What? How could that be possible! Why?" "We haven't even left the country. How could we have offended him? Wait, that doctor..." "Exactly! We called to tell you about this, boss. What we know is that the Hell Organization has sent messages to all the doctors in the country. If any of them dare to treat Lucian, the Hell Organization will kill their entire family!" Rubus's expression turned incredibly grim; this situation was terrifying! "I understand. I'll be back immediately." Worry was etched all over Rubus's face. He never imagined that the Hell Organization's influence was so vast that it could affect the international medical community. He also couldn't understand how Lucian had managed to provoke such an organization! Now, he was feeling utterly overwhelmed, unsure of what to do next! "Son, I'm sorry. It's all my fault." "When I come back, I'll figure out a way to get you treated, no matter the cost. I will save you." "Dad, don't worry. I'll handle this." After assuring his son, Lucian didn't pursue the matter further. He glanced at his son once more, then turned and left. "Dad!" Lucian's father immediately turned back. "Make sure to take good care of yourself!" "Dad!" "Alright, you just rest easy." Perhaps Lucian was in too much pain, and the only words he could muster were "dad." After saying these things, Rubus left the hospital. He planned to return to the company and see what was going on. When he arrived at the company, his secretary immediately approached him. "Chairman, this is the latest news we received today. Please take a look!" Hearing the secretary's words, Rubus didn't refuse and picked up the phone. Upon seeing the news, Rubus was stunned. "What on earth is happening here?" "It's the people from the Hell Organization!" The Hell Organization had hacked into their family’s website, announcing to the world that anyone who tried to help Lucian would be making an enemy of the Hell Organization. Even though the Hell Organization was far away, everyone knew that if the organization found you, you were as good as dead! The possibility of death was extremely high! Because of this, no one wanted to do business with Lucian's family. Many were already talking about terminating their contracts with the company. Hearing the secretary's words, Rubus felt as though his heart was being stabbed repeatedly with needles, causing immense pain. What in the world was happening? His son was just a child, his world was so innocent, and he didn't even understand what fighting and conflict were. How did he manage to provoke the Hell Organization? "Who told you this news?" "I don't know exactly who said it, but they mentioned that anyone working with us would be targeted by the Hell Organization." After finishing his explanation, the secretary looked at Rubus. "Oh, and this document at the bottom is my resignation letter. I've decided to leave." Rubus was dumbfounded. "What?" "This is a critical time for our family! Why are you leaving?" The secretary, looking somewhat exasperated, replied. "Since you've angered such a dangerous group, I'd have to be crazy not to leave. I have no intention of losing my life over this." He was just an employee of their family and didn't see any reason to share their fate. Now, Rubus felt the pressure of everyone pushing against him as the walls crumbled down. Furious, he stormed out to find some answers, but in a twist of fate, his car tire blew out, sending the vehicle spinning 180 degrees in the air before crashing to the ground! Though Rubus survived the accident, as he crawled out of the wreckage, he received the unexpected news from the hospital. "I'm sorry, Mr. Rubus, but young master Lucian has... already passed away." He was dead, completely lifeless. Hearing this news, Rubus, fresh from a car accident, collapsed onto the ground in tears. His son, only twenty years old, was gone just like that. How could he possibly accept this? He had never encountered anything like this in his life and didn't know what to do. In the hospital over the following days, Rubus sat like a zombie on his hospital bed, staring blankly, unmoving. Beside him lay Lucian's body. Beside it, there was an urn ready to hold Lucian's ashes. Rubus looked at his son, despair etched in his eyes. Because of this incident, everyone in the family had returned from afar. Over the next few days, they all came to visit Rubus. But their concern wasn't for Lucian. They had other motives. "Do you realize what's been happening lately? The Rubus family stock has plummeted! Do you understand how dangerous this is!" "I've decided to part ways with the Rubus family. There's no point in continuing our partnership if you can't handle such a small issue." "Your family is no longer qualified to work with us." Not yet recovered from the pain of losing his son, Rubus was shocked to hear these words from his business partners. Rubus was on the brink of breaking down. Looking out the window, he contemplated just jumping and ending it all. Back in the hospital, Nami had scraped her hand during her escape. Thankfully, it was quickly disinfected, and she didn't suffer any real injuries. Seeing Joseph approach, Nami anxiously said. "Oh no, you shouldn't be here; this place is dangerous. Do you know who you attacked?" "I don't want you getting involved with them! Please, I'm begging you!" "Otherwise, you'll be in big trouble!" Joseph, however, seemed unbothered. Suddenly, Nami remembered something else. "By the way, did you hear about Aunt Jinx? Uncle Jinkate is looking for the person who attacked her." Joseph calmly replied. "Oh, that was me." Nami was dumbstruck. "You turned Aunt Jinx into a punching bag? You're amazing!" Joseph shrugged. Nami quickly pulled Joseph, trying to get him to leave. "You beat Uncle Jinkate's wife senseless; they won't let you get away with it. You're in serious danger! Come on, let's get out of here. I'll keep you safe!"
