Luna stared at Karl's unmoving chest, her fingertips trembling as she reached out to check for his breath.
Her voice cracked, "Karl, seriously... you're really gonna leave me here all alone?"
She hugged his head tightly into her arms, hot tears falling onto his eyelids.
Maybe it was her imagination, but she swore she saw his eyelids twitch.
Quickly, she laid him flat and bit through the skin on her fingers, letting her blood drip into his mouth and on his wound.
