Realizing there was no escaping this conversation, Matthew stepped on the gas, speeding up for 20 minutes until he caught up with Hoxton's car. He signaled them to pull over, then got out and walked up to their vehicle.
Hoxton rolled down the window. "Mr. Grant, do we have a new assignment?"
Matthew let out a wry smile. "Not exactly, just a small favor."
Hoxton chuckled. "You're the boss—we just follow orders. Tell us what you need."
Matthew pointed toward Kyler, who was waiting a few feet away. "He wants to learn how to kill."
Hoxton turned back to the others. "I'm not interested. Anyone else want to teach him?"
The other four immediately shook their heads, pulled out their phones, and pretended to be busy. Not one of them was willing to entertain the idea.
