The Other Woman on His Arm
Lilith POV
Morning passed slowly in the boutique. I tried to stay focused, moving between the office and the front floor with papers in my hands. Staff letters were waiting for approval. Fabric samples needed sorting. Appointments needed to be confirmed. Inventory lists kept slipping out of order because my attention refused to stay where it should.
Every time I looked down at a page, my fingers trembled slightly. I kept telling myself it was the cold or the pressure of Lucian’s warning, but I knew the truth.
My mind kept drifting back to the message Damien hadn’t answered. I hated that it affected me. I hated that I checked my phone more times than I wanted to admit. I hated the way my chest tightened whenever I remembered his voice, or the look he gave me the last time he touched me.
I placed the papers down and closed my eyes for a second, breathing carefully. This wasn’t the time. I didn’t want him in my head. I didn’t want any of it.
The door chimed open.
I haven't seen him
