Chapter 1154

Wyatt was way too terrifying and powerful, almost as if he was also a descendant of royalty. Rahul could no longer care about his dignity. He decided to flee for his life. "Trying to run?" Wyatt picked up the severed arm and stored it in his dimensional crystal before chasing after Rahul like a bolt of lightning. … Half an hour later, golden blood sprayed across a vast plain of grassland like rain. The battle had ended. The once peerless talent that was said to potentially rival the Falcon King was now slain by Wyatt. It was truly unfortunate! However, Wyatt did not come out of the fight unscathed. His body was riddled with wounds with blood still dripping continuously. As he was about to sit down for a breather, the Emerald Pendant began to vibrate and a golden rune appeared into view. Wyatt was astonished by the sight. "The golden creature's rune is imprinted onto the white light painting!" He felt a connection to the rune. As it manifested on the white light painting, he also felt it being branded directly into his mind, as if it was something that had always been a part of him. Wyatt was pleasantly surprised. After the rune completely formed on the white light painting, he realized that he could now wield its power. It may just be a single rune, but it represented the strength of a powerful clan of ages past. The rune's marking shifted and transformed continuously like the stars in the sky, giving it an air of mystery. He delved into the rune with his divine sense and was greeted with an immense flood of information. Wyatt learned that the golden creature was a descendant of an ancient clan of people known as the Regalians. They were a once powerful clan that ruled a massive kingdom over vast pieces of land. The most formidable technique in their arsenal was the Golden Crescent, which was contained within the rune. It was the same technique that Rahul had used earlier that almost decapitated Wyatt. But now, that rune had been imprinted upon the white light painting, turning into part of Wyatt's arsenal of techniques. Wyatt closed his eyes and gently shook his right arm. The rune ignited and light burst forth, bathing his body with a golden glow. He felt that his power had increased significantly as the runes materialized in front of his arm. Each of the runic marks that appeared emanated terrifying power as it floated in mid-air in front of him. Wyatt concentrated his mind and made a slashing motion with his right hand. The next moment, a golden-colored beam of energy with a crescent shape appeared, each ray of light emanating from the crescent was as sharp as a sword. He wielded the golden crescent and swung forward, causing a massive rift to appear in the ground. The grassland before him split apart as if an earthquake had cracked the earth underneath. Wyatt was shocked by the scene. "This is way too powerful! I can't believe that I actually obtained that golden creature's rune! So this is the Regalian's Golden Crescent!" He was overjoyed that the Emerald Pendant could copy and imprint ancient runes for his own use! The thought of being able to utilize the formidable runes of ancient powerful clans was an extremely thrilling one. If he could master more and more techniques, it would surely bring him up to even greater heights! But of course, Wyatt had to bear witness to more and more runes for that to happen. The ancient runes were a power exclusive to only the most powerful of clans back in ancient times. Finding them would be no easy feat. Wyatt's heart beat like a drum from the excitement. With the Golden Crescent now in his arsenal, the new trump card had given him a significant boost to his powers and abilities. After calming down a little, he stared at Rahul's corpse and sighed. A group of mystical creatures followed the traces of their battle and arrived at the battlefield. They were all flabbergasted after laying eyes on the scene. The group was a mix of human martial artists, monster martial artists, and even local natives of the Land of Blessings. The monsterkind was much more familiar with Rahul and recognized it to be a prestigious member of their kind. An elder among the monsterkind once touted that Rahul would soar to greater heights within the Land of Blessings, and potentially become a rival to the peerless Falcon King. And yet, he had been slain! The crowd stared at Wyatt in disbelief as they wondered just how powerful he was to be able to defeat and kill Rahul. Wyatt, however, was not the slightest bit happy. There was no joy on his face, let alone a hint of satisfaction from the hard-earned victory.
