LIAM’S POV I went back to the cell where Janine was being held. It was time to settle this once and for all. I stared at Janine through the iron bars. Her once proud figure now crouched in the corner of the cell, shackled and pale. Her body was filled with blood stains. She was breathing heavily. She looked up at me the moment I entered. Her eyes were wide with something between fear and hope. I hated that hope. It made me feel like a traitor for what I had to say. “It’s been decided,” I said in a cold tone “You’ll be imprisoned for life.” Her breath hitched. Her eyes widened in surprise. “Liam, please. You can’t do this.” I didn’t flinch. I had to stay cold and controlled. My wolf growled low in my chest, disgusted with the betrayal she’d orchestrated. She did this to herself. “You framed Natalie. You conspired against your own pack. Because of you, innocent people are dead. You conspired with a devil! A creature that’s been at war with your kind for centuries. You did this to yoursel
