Chapter 17

After getting caught in the rain the previous day, Gabrielle woke up with a slight fever and didn't go to Summer's salon. She took some medicine and thought she would be fine after resting for a while, but her head grew increasingly dizzy. When she heard a knock on the door, she forced herself to get up and open it, but as soon as she saw Jorvik outside, she fainted. When she woke up again, she was in the hospital. “Don't move; the IV isn't finished yet.” Jorvik’s voice reached her ears, and Gabrielle turned her head to look at him. “Thank you for saving me yesterday.
