Chapter 37: The Competition
*Mia*
I looked at Krell and the others in disbelief. They actually wanted to kill Kasim! "What is the difference between them and savages?"
I couldn't help but feel angry. I hugged Kasim.
I stood in front of Kasim and tried to protect him. I looked at the four people in front of me in disappointment and pain. "If you want to kill Kasim, please kill me too."
"Mia! Do you know what you're talking about?" Krell's eyes widened. His face was full of anger at my disobedience.
"Mia, Kasim is not as innocent as you think. Don't be fooled by him." Simon looked at me disapprovingly as if he was scolding a rebellious child.
"He's just a treacherous person who pretends to be vulnerable in front of you. I can act like that if you want." Locas's face was filled with disdain.
I shifted my gaze to Willard. His eyes flickered, then he silently looked away.
At this moment, I found it extremely funny. Previously, Kasim had said that they were only good to me because of my looks. In fact, they didn't have much respect for me, nor did they really admire me. I had always been suspicious.
Up until now, I had seen their various reactions. They could even plunder other people's lives at will and didn't listen to me at all. 'How much respect could they have for me?'
The corners of my mouth twitched. I didn't want to look at their faces anymore. I turned around and held Kasim in my arms like a treasure. In a firm tone, I said, "I know what I'm doing. If you want to kill him, kill me first."
"Good! Good! Mia, that's perfect. Willard, let him go," Krell said through gritted teeth. He seemed to have been angered. After saying that, he left.
"Oh... Mia, we're doing this for your own good. Do you think we'll hurt you?" Simon sighed. After a while, he realized that I didn't have a reaction, so he didn't stay any longer and left.
Locas left very quickly, but before he left, he did not forget to mock Kasim. "You have amazing acting skills. You know what. You won. We're indeed much less capable of putting on a show like that."
The series of footsteps behind me disappeared one by one. I let go of Kasim and Willard came up silently to help me help Kasim up.
"Thank you." Although I was angry, I knew that Willard had always been a withdrawn character. Most of the time, he would follow his brother's orders first. I was just a little uncomfortable and didn't want to vent my anger on him, so I forced a smile and thanked him.
Willard helped me help Kasim back to camp. I asked him to take Kasim directly to my tent. Kasim's injuries needed to be treated first.
Willard was a little disapproving. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but I raised my hand to interrupt him and said, "I know you can also treat him, but Willard, I can't trust him with someone who tried to kill him before."
"Mia, I'm fine. If you're tired, you don't have to treat me. I'm fine." Kasim tugged at the corner of my shirt. He tried his best to smile at me, but he was grimacing in pain.
I lowered my eyes and saw that there were bruises on his exposed arm. His forced smile broke my heart. What he said also made me feel warm and loved.
"I'm not tired. I can treat you right away. Willard, you can leave first. I can take it from here," I told Willard.
"Call me if you need anything," Willard said in the end. Before he left, he seemed to glance at Kasim one last time. Before I could figure out his meaning, he had already retracted his gaze and walked out.
"Mia... Thank you for saving me. If you hadn't appeared in time, I would have died by now. They are really too violent. I've never seen an alpha who shows no respect for life." Kasim lowered his eyes. The expression on his face was puzzled, sad, and a little scared.
"It's fine. It's fine now." Seeing his miserable look, I felt more pity for him in my heart. I reached out to touch his head and comforted him. "Let me take a look at your wound now. It won't hurt anymore after it's healed."
"Yes!" He looked up at me with a coy smile, then took off his shirt with his back to me.
"It might not look pretty. They were hitting me hard. I can't dodge them being tied up. There might be a lot of bruises on my back. Mia, don't be scared." Kasim said carefully.
Isn't he sweet? He's still worried about me when he is so badly hurt.
How could they bear to hurt such a kind person?
I looked at the bruises on Kasim's back and felt my heart ache. I placed my fingers on them and thought about his warm words. I couldn't help but lower my head and kiss the bruises on his back.
I felt his body suddenly stiffen, and I quickly reacted. I was annoyed with myself for being reckless, and my face burned. Without thinking, I knew that my face must be beetroot red.
"Mia, it hurts..." Just as I was at a loss, Kasim's slightly coquettish voice sounded. I looked up and met his eyes. He had turned around at some point and was looking at me with clear and deep eyes.
The heat on my face had just subsided a little. When he looked at me, it increased again. I coughed lightly. "Well, turn around. I'll treat you immediately. It won't hurt anymore after you're cured."
"No." Kasim pouted like a child. He pulled the corner of my shirt and shook it gently. "Mia, just kiss me like you did just now. It won't hurt after the kiss."
My face felt like it was about to be burnt. I opened my mouth and instinctively wanted to refuse, but Kasim's expectant and aggrieved gaze instantly made me unable to speak.
Although he was an alpha who was about my age, this childish side of him really made him look adorable.
My heart was pounding, and I acquiesced to his actions when he tentatively leaned over. At this moment, he smiled like a child who had received candy, put one arm around my waist and pressed the other hand behind my head, and kissed me on the lips.
I didn't expect him to kiss me. I was stunned for a moment, but soon, I was aroused by his superb kissing technique and took the initiative to respond.
When I came back to my senses, I was already feeling hot under him. I felt the heat of his crotch pressing against my lower abdomen. I couldn't help but flinch, unable to understand how things had gone this far.
"Mia, can I?" Kasim looked at me in a gentle and affectionate manner. His eyes were filled with uncontrollable desire, and his forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat.
But he didn't continue immediately. He was waiting for my signal.
A feeling of being respected and cherished arose spontaneously. I couldn't help but feel touched by his actions.
Whether it was Krell, Locas, or even Simon, they were all trying to force me to compromise. Only Kasim would patiently and forbearingly ask for my permission.
I smiled at him and wrapped my arms around his neck, leaning forward to kiss his lips.
"Why not," I thought.
My clothes were stripped off by him one by one. He was clearly having a hard time suppressing his passion, but he still patiently stimulated the sensitive spots on my body. His hands seemed to be on fire, lighting up strings of flames on my body.
He gently kneaded my breasts with one hand and caressed my inner thigh with the other. I subconsciously bent my legs and opened them obediently. His fingers gently inserted and moved slowly. I looked at his eyes that were red with lust and kissed the corner of his eyes pityingly. I whispered, "It's enough... You can come in now."
"Mia, Mia," he called out, his movements gentle and restrained. His soothing, gentle strokes as he claimed me made me feel like I was truly cherished by him.
After we were both satisfied, we exchanged a kiss, and finally, we turned into wolves and lay down.
I was woken up by Krell's angry roar.
"Kasim, I'll kill you!"
