Ruby Joseph and Daniel were waiting for us at Caleb’s house as requested when we returned from our breakfast at the castle. “Are you okay?” Daniel asked me immediately as I walked in the door. He rushed to my side, reaching out for me, gaze traversing my body in concern. But he never touched me because Caleb stepped between us, growling behind bared teeth.
