Chapter 3919
Louis and Phillip were not the only ones worried. Even Delphine and the rest were anxious too.
While they did think it was inappropriate for someone of Austin’s status to be their chef, the food he made was truly delicious. They had already gotten used to his cooking.
If he were to leave, they would have to adjust their tastes to another chef’s cooking.
Tati had even more concerns.
Isabella admired capable people. Austin was highly skilled in cooking and had a head for business too. Moreover, he was a young master of a wealthy family.
That made him more suitable for Isabella. Would Isabella be attracted?
Isabella probably could feel how differently he treated her, right?
“Did you chase Austin away, Isa? Why didn’t he come back with you?”
Louis continued asking questions.
He was worried that Isabella might have fired Austin.
Not only could Austin make delicious food, but he would also play with the boys.
Louis and Phillip really liked Austin. They thought he was fun, and they enjoyed spending time with him. Besides, he was trained in martial arts.
The boys wanted to learn martial arts from him.
“Since the weather is cold, I told Austin to go back and rest.”
Isabella could not resist poking her brothers’ foreheads as they were too noisy. “How long has Austin been working here for? Hasn’t it just been two months? Did he bribe you two?
“You’re so scared of him leaving.”
“I like Austin, Isa. He’s really nice. I like him a lot. Can you not chase him away?”
“When did I say I was chasing him away?”
Isabella pinched Louis’s cheek and brought them to sit on the sofa.
“I only told him to go rest. I didn’t fire him. He’s a chef. His job is done once our stomachs are filled. It’s normal for him to get off work after that.”
The boys were relieved upon hearing Isabella.
Louis asked an important question, “Ruth said Austin is a young master of the Yorks, Isa. That family is on the same level as ours. Now that you know Austin’s true identity, will you let him continue being your private chef?”
After giving it some thought, Isabella replied, “If I haven’t gotten bored of his food, and if he hasn’t resigned, he’ll always be my private chef. You’ll be able to continue eating the food he makes.”
“Really?”
Louis was delighted. After getting another confirmation, he and Phillip jumped and clapped out of happiness. They said, “That’s great. Austin won’t have to leave.”
Isabella told her family, “Austin being a young master of the Yorks is his problem. He got hired by our family based on his abilities alone. He was fully aware of what his job here was going to be. This is his choice.
“I’ve never mistreated him in terms of salary and benefits. He’s also doing something he’s passionate about to improve his cooking skills. That’s why nothing will change. He’ll continue being my private chef.
“If he leaves, it’ll be when I’ve gotten bored of his food or when he wants to resign.”
Isabella looked toward Tati. She said, “Austin said he came to Satbury firstly to be a chef, but he had another reason for coming to Windermere. His fiancée is from Windermere. He still has to look for her to develop a relationship with her.
“Therefore, he’ll probably only stay in our house for about half a year. His nana has given him a time limit of a year.”
Isabella explained how Grandma May had chosen ladies to be her grandsons’ wives and that her grandsons had to court those women successfully within a year.
Everyone got curious. They wanted to know who Austin’s fiancée was.
However, since Austin did not reveal her identity, they could not find out.
Isabella glanced at Tati again.
Tati knew what her gaze meant.
