Chapter 3

Aisha's POV I stormed into the room, my blood boiling. Their bodies tangled in the same bed I dreamt we would share. His head snapped up at my entrance, his expression darkening as if I had done something wrong. Lisa just smirked, completely unapologetic as she ran her fingers down his chest. "How could you?" My voice trembled, but it wasn't with pain, it was with fury. "How could you betray our bond like this? We were supposed to…" I stopped short when the words seized in my throat. He exhaled sharply and pushed himself off Lisa, standing to his full, naked height as he stalked toward me. He didn't even bother covering himself, as if this was normal, as if I was the one who should be ashamed. "You ignored my needs, Aisha," he said coldly, his lip curling in disdain. "What did you expect?" I recoiled as if struck. "Are you…" My voice caught. "Are you seriously blaming me?" "You think you can act like a cold, untouchable saint and I'll just wait?" He sneered. "You forced me into this, Aisha. Maybe if you knew how to be a proper mate, I wouldn't have had to seek comfort elsewhere." A bitter laugh escaped me. "You think I'm going to apologize?" I stepped closer, glaring up at him. My hands poked his chest, "Never." His jaw clenched, his eyes flashing with anger. "Then you leave me no choice." He lunged. I barely had time to react before his hand shot out, gripping my throat and slamming me into the wall. Pain exploded through me. I gasped, struggling against his iron grip. "How dare you put your hands on an Alpha?" He hissed. "You should be grateful I even considered you." April, my wolf, whimpered in agony. She had waited for our mate, endured so much for this moment, only for him to betray us. Why does this happen to us? It's like we were not designed to be happy. His voice dropped to something more chilling. "You owe me an apology." Lisa let out a mocking laugh from the bed. "Honestly, Jack, you're being too kind. She disrespected you, she deserves death." Something shifted in his expression at her words, like he was considering it. His eyes darkened, his grip tightening. "You're right," he mused. "An Omega who raises a hand against her Alpha deserves punishment." I scoffed, "what is it you want?" "Respect," he growled. "Aisha, don't get it twisted. Just because we were together doesn't mean I'll let any wolf, especially one who disrespects me off the hook." I stared up at him as he whispered the words that were every wolf's nightmare. "I don't want you." A cold blade pressed against my chest, it was like he was cutting my heart into pieces with the cold metal. The vice squeezed around my heart and I choked out a cough to let myself breathe. The sharp sting of betrayal cut me deep. My eyes burned, but I refused to let him see me break. "Denied," I spat through the pain. "I, Aisha of the silver lake pack, deny you, Jack, Alpha of the silver lake pack!" The moment the words left my lips, agony wrapped around my throat, squeezing the air from my lungs. The mate bond, our sacred tie was shattering. Jack gasped, stumbling back as he clutched his chest, but he recovered quickly, his expression morphing into something cruel. "You'll regret that," he said darkly. "You'll suffer for this, Aisha." And then he did the unthinkable. "You attacked your Alpha," he declared loudly, his voice echoing in the room. "You assaulted a future leader, and for that, you'll be punished." My stomach dropped. "You—" I should kill you for this," he cut in, his tone devoid of emotion. "But I'm feeling generous today." "Generous?" I spat, my voice hoarse. "You call this generous?" « "Yes, it is quite generous. Now, either you give me what I want or you have one hour to leave my territory. »" Disgust filled me but I glared at him, « "I was right, you really are disgusting. »" Lisa scoffed. He ignored me, turning to Lisa, who was now sitting up on the bed, watching the scene with a satisfied smirk. "What do you think, Lisa?" he asked, "Should we let her stay, or should we cast her out like the rogue she is?" She pretended to consider for a moment before flashing me a cruel smile. "She's a liability. You'd be doing her a favor by getting rid of her. She doesn't deserve to live. »" He nodded, as if her opinion mattered more than mine. He turned back to me, his expression hardening like he had made up his mind. "You have two choices, Aisha," he said. "Submit to me, fully or leave this pack within the hour. Either way, you're done here." I stared at him, my heart pounding. The bond was almost completely severed now, the pain was still there. Even in the face of this kind of betrayal, one thing was clear. I would never submit to him. "I'd rather die than bow to you," I said, my voice came out strong despite the tears streaming down my face. His lips curled into a cruel smile. "Suit yourself. But don't say I didn't warn you. I gave you a chance like a fair leader." Before I could speak, rough hands grabbed me. A Gamma warrior yanked my arms behind my back. Lisa smirked. "Enjoy the dungeons, dear sister." As they dragged me away, rage and heartbreak warred inside me. "This isn't over," I thought, my resolve hardening with each step. "I'll make them pay. Both of them." For I curse them with the pain they have caused me. They shall live with this moment as their karma for the rest of their lives.
