Mira could not hold herself. She lost her footing and fell down. Her mother had died of heart complications. She was taking drugs that weren't good for her. But...why did her father tell her that she died because of cancer? The doctors at the hospital too.... they said that her mother had died because of cancer! Mira was starting to think that there were lots of things that she did not know at all. But her mother won't kill herself right? Her mother was someone who cherished her life more than anything else.. She always said that those health supplements were because she wanted to stay healthy for a long time. She wanted to live a good life for a long time. So....there was only one other explanation for all of this. Someone else has changed her medications For who that someone else was, There was only one person to came to her mind. Her father! She had always believed that her parents loved each other but after her mother died, she found out that she had been really naive to think that her parents were in love. It was more like, they were compelled to keep up appearances for other people. Even in front of her, her parents were always pretending to be a happy couple After her mother died, her father actually started acting as if he was relived that she died. Mira didn't think much of those things before. They happened seperately, she did not think much of them. But now that she was piecing it together, she felt that it was really strange. Her father told her that her mother had died because of cancer....but until her death, she did not look like someone who had any health complications. She was fine right until the day she died! And why did he try to hide the cause of her death? Even getting doctors to lie, when he knew the real reason why she died? Mira was starting to get scared. It seemed that there was a lot of things that she did not know anything about after all. Her father went through so much to hide it...it could only mean that she has something to do with her mother's death. But...why did he have to kill her? He could have gotten a divorce if he was tired of putting on a show of being in love. Mira's head was spinning in circles now. She did not know what she was supposed to believe at all. She kept the files and then walked out. She has to get to the bottom of this. She has to know what really happened between her parents! ........... Ryder was in his office looking at the news. He sighed. He was really going to get an headache from all of this. He did not care what the media or anyone else thought of him. The person that he was really worried about here was Scarlett. He was sure that she had already misunderstood this. Yesterday, he knew that she was angry because she caught the perfume on his clothes. How is she going to react when she sees the news? Is she going to believe that he did not do anything wrong? He knew what Scarlett's attitude was like. The chances that she was going to believe him were pathetically low. The both of them have finally come such a long way, she was starting to accept him now. In fact, he was sure that if it wasn't because of the perfume on his clothes he would have gone all out with Scarlett last night. Why does Mira have to show up and ruin things for him right now? What does she really want from him? She is the one who left anyway. Why can't she just stay away from him without causing any more troubles? Ryder was still thinking about all of this when someone knocked on the door. He adjusted his emotions and said "Come in" A woman sauntered into the office then. Ryder looked up and saw her face. When he saw the woman, he did not know what exactly he felt. Pain, sadness, confusion...and perhaps....a hint of joy? "Mom?" He called out, scared that he would get the wrong person. His mother left when he was a teenager without saying a word then. He did not bring it up because he felt that she probably had a reason for doing the things that she did. Why....did she come back only now? Kate plastered a big smile on her face. She walked over to Ryder. Ryder stood up when he saw her coming. Kate wrapped her hands around him tightly and hugged him. Then she started to cry. "Ryder.... my son has grown up so much....I've missed you so much...I've missed you so so much..." Kate continued to say that he had missed him. Ryder didn't say anything. He just stood there fixed in one spot. She missed him? If she really missed him then why did she leave him without even saying as much as a single word?
